One of the few shows that is literally too cool to have a coherent plot.
The first season was kinda cool and crazy. But the other two seasons are very boring and bad.

If I'd watch this first in 2000 I'd give it a 8/10.
But it just falls a bit short in keeping my attention. Nonetheless it has my respect for doing it's own thing.
Definitely worth a watch and I can see why others would rate it higher.
Quite the show here, it's extremely well-animated. Tough story to really grasp. Personally I was often annoyed by the whiny kid, but you know, there are worse things.

I think the anime’s sequels/reboots, which some databases like Wikipedia and TMDB call seasons, were a mistake. Just watch the first season, ignore the rest of them and you'll have a good time.
Man the plot is chaotic but the animation and the comedy in there made it as a masterpiece for me its a show not to be focused heavily on the plot and trying to understand everything just watch and chill

when i talk about flcl i'm basically talking about season 1, the other two are reeally extras if i'm being honest, season 1 is a masterpiece if we're separating it from the other two
