WU FAY, son of WU YAT TO, in order to escape his enemies, hid with uncle PING SI at Jade Peak villa for years. PING always asked FAY to practice the art of how to use the blade under the WU family's methods to take vengeance for his father. The art was hard to master because some of the records were missing. At the foot of the mountain, TO FIFTEEN, a man in disguise of FAY pursued by TIN KWAI LUNG, FAN HING TANG and their students, had reached the villa. LUNG and TANG threatened HEI MAN, the host of the villa to hand in TO. When FAY revealed his own identity to avoid the innocence being killed, MIU YAN FUNG appeared and resolved the difficulty for MAN. In the secret alley, PING and FAY overheard the conspiracy between LUNG and MAN who wanted to kill them. In a snow slide, PING and FAY fell into an ice cave where they found the glittering treasury.

FAY discovered a booklet in which TO had written a series of the family hatred over the century. In 1644, LORD CHONG was under siege at JIU GONG SHAN. Three warriors, i.e. MIU, FAN and TIN went to summon reinforcement. Another warrior, WU, stayed to take care of LORD CHONG. However, the situation had changed. WU had to pretend to be a traitor to avoid ill fate. However, without knowing WU's pretense, MIU and FAN killed WU. Afterwards, DAN, son of WU told MIU and FAN the misunderstanding. Both MIU and FAN felt guilty of killing WU. In a subsequent fight for saving LORD CHONG, both MIU and FAN were killed too. The misunderstanding among the three warriors were never revealed to their children and grandchildren. As a result, there were a series of killings in the following generations among the three families……

CHAU who was the cousin and fiancee of MAN had a bet with TO to compete to find a treasure. MAN, on the other hand, made use of CHAU’S intelligence to find out the actual location of the treasure. CHAU was sad for MAN’S hypocrisy. CHAU, following TO for clues, was angry for being teased by TO time after time. Seeing through MAN’S trick, CHAU exchanged the secret of the treasure hidden location for separation with MAN. MAN was attacked. CHAU and TO went together and discovered the treasure. They then found out the killings among the three families over the generations. Admiring TO's personality deeply, CHAU even proposed to marry TO. In turn, TO was enchanted by CHAU.

FAY then, found the booklet left to him by TO in the cave. It described TAN and LUNG, leaded by FUNG, looking for TO to get even with him. FUNG, renowned for his name as "Wordl No. 1 without competition", lured TO for a fight. On his way, TO met SAI and helped him settle his big debt. TO treated SAI like a brother and SAI felt very grateful to TO. On the other hand, FUNG and TO became good friends during fight after knowing more of each other's characters. However, highly influcence by LUNG, FUNF decided to invite TO for a final fight.

After CHAU’S persuasion, TO was tempted to tell FUNG the resentment in details so as to put an end to the fuel. When TO wanted to tell the truth, TAN and LUNG attacked CHAU who was about to give birth to a child. TO hurried to protect her while SAI, who was wounded, went looking for KEI, the doctor to help. FUNG understood TO had just become a father and decided to postpone the duel. CHAU talked TO into writing a letter to explain to FUNG but it was being exchanged. On the day for the duel, CHAU persuaded TO to use a special tactic to attack FUNG’S weak point but was refused by TO. In order to avoid hurting FUNG, TO was wounded by FUNG's weapon which left black scar between TO's eye brows.

TO was poisoned to death. At once, LUNG and TAN together attacked CHAU who entrusted her son, FAI to the care of SAI. SAI had brought FAI to flee with him but was hurt by LUNG and fell into the river. Fortunately, a fisherman saved them. SAI strongly believed FUNG had murdered TO and asked FAY to take revenge. When FUNG went to pay a visit at TO’s tomb, he told his daughter, LAN about her mother, NAN who had separated with him. NAN had been a daughter from a rich family. She was ill-fated and was saved by FUNG numerous times. Being deeply grateful to FUNG, NAN married FUNG. After quite some time, NAN began to feel unsettled as FUNG did not seem to respond to her enormous love for him. When LUNG came along, NAN and LUNG started a relationship.

NAN mercilessly gave up her daughter and eloped with LUNG. FUNG and his daughter had to rely upon each other for life. SAI and FAY came to SHANG’S FORTESS for a stay. When KEI came to rob the SHANG’S FORTRESS and met FUNG there, SAI had an idea to make KEI return the records of how to use the blade by the WU's family. MRS SHANG, on the other hand, wanted to take vengeance for her husband. TO and FUNG were on her target list. When NAN arrived to seek for LAN, LAN decided to leave with her father. Knowing FAY was TO’S son , MRS SHANG had to kill him. FAY, fortunately was taught by SHAN how to win MRS SHANG but both of them accidentally fell into her trap.

FAY, in a moment of desperation, found out a way out of the trap. MRS SHANG, enraged with her failure, committed suicide by walking in the blaze. Becoming sworn brothers, SHAN gave FAY his white horse and some money and left first. BO, son of MRS SHANG, felt sorry for not able to take revenge for his mother. A girl named NIP SONG CHING, passing by while FAY was beating BO, stopped FAY and mistook him of stealing the horse. CHING was the cousin of SHAN. Being wrongly accused, FAY followed CHING so as to get his horse back. Meeting SHAN, CHING realized she had made a mistake. On the following morning, all members of the RED FLOWER SOCIETY welcomed the arrival of their head, CHAN KA LOK. Seeing LOK, CHING's face showed deep admiration.

FOK ON HONG was going to call for a fighting conference in order to stir up troubles. LOK, in order to prevent a catastrophe, contacted the BIG FOUR HEADS. CHING, on the other hand, volunteered to kill LUNG. It seemed there was great hatred between the two. LOK was infatuated with PRINCESS PERFUME while CHING was enchanted with LOK. In a restaurant, FAY ran across little guy, YAT, who enriched his experience by bringing him to travel from place to place. FAY marveled at his boldness. YAT led FAY to a banquet for heroes so as to eat and drink extravagantly. CHING, arriving at the banquet in the name of LUNG, was humiliated. CHING met FAY there and together, they went into a fight.

CHING, unable to match with FAY, teased YAT. While trying to help out YAT, FAY discovered YAT was actually a girl. YAT, a student of NIP YU FENG who was head of the SKY DRAGON SECT, was ordered by FENG to kill LUNG who was the black sheep of the sect. However, owing to YAT's limited capabilities, FENG could only teach her a few tricks to combat LUNG. YAT and FAY in disguise as FOK’S guards to deliver some invitation letters brought along members from other sects to get even with LUNG. With YAT’S advice, FAY gained an upper hand in the fight with LUNG. However, CHING came to LUNG's rescue.

CHING defeated FAY and left. YAT again, in disguise as a guard cheated LUNG of LORD CHONG’S saber and gave it to FAY as a gift. LUNG could do nothing but watch YAT leave. With the help of the saber, FAY was able filled in what he had learned to highly increase his KUNG FU to a high level. FAY chased after LUNG who had retreated numerous times. However, CHING saved LUNG once again. FAY told her what was right and wrong but she went her own way. A mysterious person not only prepared a big house and servants for FAY but also send guests to celebrate his birthday with tiger hat and shoes. Sensing something strange, FAY caught HIN, LOK’S servant and forced him to tell him the truth.

HIN swore to die refusing to yield and took leave. YAT unveiled that the mysterious person was CHING. SHANG explained that what CHING did was a compensation for what she had done. At dawn, CHING met FAY and told him that LUNG was her father who had murdered her mother and grandfather. LUNG even wanted to kill CHING, too. Fortunately, BING saved her and told her that her mother wanted CHING to take vengeance for her. LOK greeted FAY and YAT. CHING’S sincere attitude to LOK hurt FAY who fell drawn to CHING. LOK declined CHING’S love. CHING choked down her tears and left. FAY consoled CHING and CHING was grateful to him. At the BLACK WIND GAP, LOK and his men trapped HONG and escaped to the TEMPLE of LIGHTNESS where the royal guards however had already ambushed.

Surrounded and attacked by eighteen royal guards, LOK and his men were in great danger. Fortunately, YAT knew about their entrapment while she was on her way so she came to join them. SHAN and the others hurried to the rescue. FAY was seriously wounded while saving CHING. FAY even expressed his love to CHING who was overwhelmed. LOK had to return to the Moslem territory to give TUNG a hand and told CHING to treasure the one she loved. After pondering, CHING told FAY the truth and went alone to take revenge against LUNG. Worrying about CHING, FAY chased after her in order to protect her. At LUNG’S home, HONG was discussing how to exterminate the RED FLOWER SOCIETY. CHING started a fight with LUNG and found HONG looked quite similar to LOK. At last, HONG captured CHING who was exhausted. FAY saw all these and waited for a chance to save her.

HONG loved CHING at the first sight. HONG sweet talked CHING out of her hatred. CHING was moved. HONG let her go in order to re-catch her. On her way, CHING was confused and disturbed because HONG took care of everything for her and expressed his love for her. When she arrived at the headquarters of the RED FLOWER SOCIETY, YAT saw her revealing face and asked her endlessly to know who her lover was. At midnight, HONG played the flute to seduce CHING who was followed by YAT. In the morning, the others found YAT in the forest and learned what had happened and they guessed the one CHING loved was HONG. It was on the night that HONG had dated with CHING that they managed to capture HONG. CHING was shocked.

In the cave, SHAN cut HONG’S ring finger with his jade ring in order to exchange for the BLACK and WHITE GHOSTS. In order to save HONG, CHING had to hurt HIN and YU. They fled to an old temple where they had made love. In the following morning, FAY found them and seeing them try to leave, FAY fought with them. When the members of the RED FLOWER SOCIETY arrived, HONG managed to escape but CHING was expelled from the society. In the CHEF COMMANDER’S HOUSE, CHING found HONG loved another woman in addition to his numerous wives and concubines. Suddenly, FAY appeared to fight HONG on behalf of CHING but he was exhausted and captured by HONG. CHING tried to save him but she also frankly told him she could only repay his kindness at her next life. FAY was too stressed and he fainted.

YAT brought FAY to his home but he drank a lot and vent his anger by practising blade day and night. At last, he was too obsess in practising that he had in fact reduced his kung fu to the lowest level. FAY then left a letter and left in silence. One day, FAY was drunk at the TEMPLE of WATER and MOON, and fell unconscious. FENG and LAN passed by and found FAY in his conditions. With NAN serving beside, FENG used his internal power to heal FAY. In order not to let FAY know he had saved him, FENG left with LAN who gave FAY a grasshopper knitted by her with grass as a souvenir. When FAY recovered, his potency had increased. SHAN told him that an expert had helped get through the “vestibule”. At an inn, DRAGON and TIGER were seriously hurt by the KILLERS from the WESTERN RIVER. Before dying, they begged FAY to inform FENG that somebody would try to hurt him.

FAY handed FENG a letter not knowing it was part of LUNG’S conspiracy. FENG, however, mistakably blew the poisonous vapor into FAY’S eye. At that time, LUNG, leading his followers, surged to capture them. In chaos, YAT and FAY retreated to the backyard. LAN found YAT used a yellow handkerchief, given by LAN to FAY, to wrap FAY’S eyes. FAY fell at the bank of a river. LAN followed him and got on board a wrecked boat with him. Both fell into the water and were separated by the current. When they met again, FAY suddenly realized LAN was the benefactor who had saved him. However, he was not certain about LAN’S background. FENG went to LUNG’S home to get even with LUNG because of LAN’S disappearance. NAN's covering for LUNG to protect him made FENG fill with emotions.

LUNG ordered his men to capture LAN alive so as to threaten FENG to hand out the treasure map. FAY was blind and he always played with the grasshopper that LAN gave him. FAY then called her “little grasshopper” and LAN imperceptibly fell in love with FAY. In the village, everyone was discussing the vestige of the HERBALIST GOD and LAN rushed to the PEAK of HERBALIST GOD to look for the HERBALIST GOD. However, she almost fell from the mid-slope of the mountain because of the strong wind. Fortunately, FAY rushed to save her in time. FAY carried LAN on his back for her injured foot. The physical closeness had stirred up loving feeling between the two. On her way to look for FAY, YAT found FAY and LAN being attacked and she came to the rescue. YAT went to the PEAK to find someone who could cure FAY’S eyes.

When they passed the bridge made by iron ropes and reached the PEAK, they saw a woodcutter working with all-out effort. YAT asked him for the direction but he was dumb and gave them the wrong direction. On their way to return, they saw the dumb taking a rest on the path and ate the fruit left by the dumb man as they were hungry. Then they suddenly felt itching. The dumb hinted them to eat the little white flowers to cure their itching. They, however, were trapped in the tactical deployment of FIVE ELEMENTS. YAT and FAY were poisoned to faint whereas NAN, carrying the little white flowers, was luckily escaped. LAN pointed out that the HERBALIST GOD and FENG had a lasting friendship and begged ZHENG to save their lives. When ZHENG made up the herbal medicine for FAY, the dumb put some powder in the medicine with a strange face.

ZHENG had been in the past accused by TO as a mean person and ZHENG always remembered his hatred to TO. The dumb, having saved the trio several times, was killed at last by ZHENG. Superficially, ZHENG was healing FAY, but he, in fact, was forcing the poison in FAY’S body to the SAN CAO veins where FAY would have no ways to cure his disease. FAY begged NAN to see his first sight of sunrise after his cure but NAN filled her mind with a myriad of thoughts for fearing FAY would recognized her. In the following day, FAY resumed his sight and went to the hill where he saw NAN covering her face with a veil and felt disappointed. At last, NAN left without saying goodbye. FAY decided to chase after LAN even at the ends of the earth.

YAT knitted a grasshopper which had scarred her hands but FAY neglected what she did and always remembered NAN only. In the TEMPLE of WATER and MOON, LUNG forced LAN to go with him to his home for a while because NAN missed her very much and told FENG to exchange his daughter with the treasure map. Although NAN was deceived by LUNG’S, she was happy to be able to meet her daughter and LAN began to accept her. FENG hurried to LUNG’S house and fell into LUNG’S trap. Accidentally, FAY, who intended to save him but mistakably saved LAN, was shocked to realized LAN was “little grasshopper”.

FAY saved FENG who made NAN recognized the real side of LUNG’S personality. At the inn, FAY frankly told FENG the reason he had saved him was for repaying his saving him in the past but he still would take his vengeance against FENG. Hero knows hero. They appreciated their friendship. FENG promised to find out the person who poisoned TO within one year. At the PEAK of HERBALIST GOD, FENG was stunned to find the dumb had a black line between his eyebrows as same as the one TO had. The cold war between LAN and FAY made YAT felt uneasy. CHING was attacked and fainted. FAY brought her home. LAN took care of her and knew CHING was the woman FAY loved very much. Her love to FAY was stronger. When CHING was awake and scrambled to leave, FAY suddenly proclaimed himself as the father of her son. CHING stood at gaze.

CHING had given up on herself to despair. NAN comforted her but CHING felt NAN’S love in her words. Giving FAY a miss, CHING left and met BO on her way. CHING had fainted for saving BO who then brought her home and took care of her. FAY chased her to BO CHUNG SECURITY HOUSE where he decided to stay until CHING changed her mind. On the way to look for FAY, YAT and LAN met some bandits who were frightened to see LAN’S yellow handkerchief given by FENG and revealed they had seen CHING. Then they left for the security house. BO bared his heart to CHING who decided to marry BO so as to let FAY end his passion to her.

When the wedding of BO and CHING was in progress, YAT and LAN arrived and relieved to know that the groom was not FAY. The love between FAY and CHING ended. FAY rested his heart and laughed joyfully. YAT and LAN were happy to see this. CHING decided to forget the past and try to become a good wife. HIN, who chased FAY until he arrived at the security house, was happy to see CHING become somebody’s wife. SHAN and FAY went to visit the BIG FOUR HEADS. YAT and LAN, looked after by HIN, stayed at the RED FLOWER SOCIETY. However, YAT was bored and brought NAN to join the LANTERN FESTIVAL without getting HIN’S notice. They then separated in the festival. Accidentally, LAN met FOK who had a vicious plot come to his mind when he knew LAN was FENG’S daughter.

SHAN and FAY went to SIAO LIN and WU DANG but their heads of sects were kidnapped by a mysterious person. Someone had used FAY's name in killing people. RED FLOWER SOCIETY was blamed for all these crimes. In FOK’S study, LUNG was reporting the progress of their plan which ran smoothly. The RED FLOWER SOCIETY was to be responsible for all these crimes and the grand meeting of all boxers would be opened on schedule. When the deputy heads of the BIG FOUR SECTS went to get even with the SOCIETY, HONG kidnapped LAN but gave her kind protection sincerely. LAN, however, loved FAY only and declined HONG’S love. ZHENG knew what was on HONG’S mind and proposed to deceive LAN that he would cure FAY’S disease in order to make LAN succumb to HONG.

The poison in FAY’S body activated. LAN decided to see HONG with the pin that had the secret of CHONG’S treasure. In the morning, YAT found LAN disappeared and shadowed her to HONG’S home. FAY and other members arrived, saved LAN, and threatened HONG to hand out the antidote. Pathetically, there was no real antidote for FAY’S disease. LAN and YAT pretended to be happy in order not to let FAY know the truth. FAY, however, was depressed when he overheard their conversation. KEI, in the name of SHU, joined HONG. With ZHENG’S advice, he swore to get LAN for his own fame and wealth.

Knowing his days were numbered, FAY disclosed that his love to CHING had not faded away so as to make LAN’S passion for him die. YAT gave FAY a sharp warning but LAN had already left with a broken heart. FAY could do nothing but chase after her. HIN knew what was on YAT’S mind and teased her that he would replace FAY’S position in her heart. YAT did not care. LAN was sedated and trapped by SHU in a bag. YAT reached the broken temple and SHU’S strange behavior raised YAT’S suspicion. She was still cheated by SHU. At last YAT realized that was SHU’S plot. However YAT could think of nothing but replaced herself as NAN by hiding in the bag taken away by SHU. FENG and FAY found LAN in the broken temple but LAN did not want to see FAY. FENG then left with LAN. At FOK’S house, SHU found that the one in the bag was YAT and raised his hand about to kill her in rage.

HIN saved YAT in a wash and hid her in a barrel and brought her away. He was unfortunately beaten up and threw up blood. They however were safe from the danger at last. YAT questioned HIN why he save her even scarifying his life. HIN, finally bared his heart to YAT who nevertheless refused to accept him. LAN felt exhausted mentally and physically for FAY and refused to take medicine. FAY was broken hearted and begged FUNG for a chance. They finally buried the breach. Although HIN loved YAT who still missed FAY, he was confidant that YAT would be in his arms one day. On their way to the capital, FAY met BO and CHING. They then had a meal together and were happy that they each had found a suitable match. When they left, FOK sent royal guards to kidnap CHING’S twin babies. BO could not bear it and cut his own throat.

FOK’S guards took away the twins. CHING finished BO’S funeral and went to FOK’S home to get even with HONG. FOK persuaded CHING to stay for the sake of the twins' future but CHING could not decide. FAY and his men found BO was murdered and rushed to save CHING. FOK’S mother, cherishing the twin, decided to kill CHING who was unappreciative and a member of the RED FLOWER SOCIETY. HONG did not want to do so but he could not defy his mother. During FAY’S investigation in FOK’S house, CHING drank a bowl of poisonous soup and fell unconscious. FAY fought with the guards alone and got injured for saving CHING. Later, he joined HIN and YAT. The members of the society were sad because CHING was dying. To fulfill CHING’S wish, FAY decided to take back the twins.

On his way to the capital, LOK met WONG, one of the head of the BIG FOUR sects and knew the other three were poisoned. At the basement of the old house, LOK was hurt by ZHENG’S poisonous vapor. Unexpectedly, three leaders of the BIG THREE HEADS were pretended by CHOY, LUNG, and ZHENG. CHING, speaking incoherently in the midst of sickness, told them that LOK was in danger. YAT felt her behavior strange and thought she was able to die. A royal decree posted declared the execution of LOK and any rescue attempted would probably in vain but the members of the Society would not regret to do so. When all the people went to save LOK, FAY was on his way to save the twins. At the execution ground, all members were fighting with the soldiers with all effort after rescuing LOK and FENG appeared to join them retreating another but they did not know that a trap with explosives awaiting them.

As everyone was in danger, FAY, kidnapping FOK’S mother, came and had all of them retreated safely. CHING who missed HONG very much was happy, to have the twins returned to her. Then, LOK, in disguise of HONG, comforted CHING who had already understood what LOK did and died in LOK’S arms with satisfaction. FOK, finally opened the summit for the circle of boxers. All members of the society had their own responsibilities. LOK and FENG searched for the three BIGHEADS while the others including FAY went to the summit to stir up chaos in order to gain time. Best fighters of all sects, gathering at the commanders mansion, were ready for a fierce battle. SHEK and his conspirators plotted to have LUNG beaten up fighters from all sects to become the CHIEF of the BIG FOUR HEADS but FAY, disguised as someone from the frontiers, revealed to all that LUNG had used poisonous needles in the previous fights. Everyone was shocked.

LUNG and SHEK swore to death to deny what had happened. Then FAY challenged them. After a series of fights, FAY and his men had three wins and one tie. To gain more time, both sides continued to have more fights. After YAT won one round with BUTT, SHE and LUNG, the identity of FAY and others were exposed. To convince other fighters, LUNG had to fight FAY again. LOK and FENG saved HUNG and CHENG, two BIG HEADS, whose mind was clouded after tortures, and hurried to the summit. HUNG criminated LUNG and his menn had masterminded everything. Understanding what was on FOK’S mind, LUNG admitted all the crimes alone. There was a stir in the fighters. SHEK released poisonous smoke to let LUNG and the others to retreat but activated the poison in FAY’S body.

Because of a series of fierce fights, the poison in FAY’S body was activated and wound not be stopped. LOK and his men used their internal power could only extend FAY’S life for a month. YAT proposed to suck the poison for FAY but other rejected her suggestion for the one in FAY’S body was a deadly poison. But LAN remembered this and stayed calm as she had decided to sacrifice herself to suck the poison for FAY. YAT, in order to have more time to stay with FAY, always surrounded FAY but HIN persuaded her to go. FENG decided to commit suicide after FAY’S death but FAY convinced him to look for the real killer who killed TO with all his effort so as to comfort TO’S soul. NAN, imprisoned by LUNG for a long time, fled and met FAY. Then they went to worship TO and his wife. When LUNG searched for her at the tomb, NAN took out the sacred moon saber from the grave.

FAY, with the aid of the sacred moon saber, beat up LUNG and other who retreated one after another and killed all the royal guards. When FENG arrived, he was broken hearted to see NAN unconscious. He then carried NAN and FAY home. The doctor proved NAN was distraught. LAN came to accompany her and NAN was recovering. HONG forced LUNG to find the treasure map as soon as possible. LUNG them conspired with TAN to frame FUNG to hand in the map. NAN was excited and went mad. FENG forced her to face the reality but NAN, thinking she had sinned too much, decided to leave.

NAN proceeded to LUNG’S home and had LUNG admitted his love to her was fake. LAN and FENG arrived to persuade her to go home but NAN had made up her mind to die and tell LUNG the secret of the map before she died. LAN finally died in FENG’S arms with satisfaction. YAT found signs of SHU in a whore house. FAY caught him and pushed him to tell the truth but this cunning monk made him angry. FAY’s poison activated. The leaders of the society declared FAY could die in three days. YAT, in order to let FAY die without worries, decided to marry HIN but could not choke down her tears. On the wedding day, FAY fell unconscious.

YAT, drowning her worries with drinks and having HIN got drunk, went to see FAY.In order to fulfill FAY and LAN’S wish. YAT hit LAN at certain accupoint and was about to suck the poison blood for FAY. When HIN came to the scene, YAT also hit his accupoint. Under LAN and HIN’S eyes, YAT sucked the poison. HIN was traumatized and in tears. When FAY was becoming conscious, YAT was dying. HIN then managed to get through the accupoint hit by YAT and carried YAT away. Before she died, YAT told FAY and LAN to love each other forever, and not to separate. Then she died in HIN’S arms. FAY had an appointment with LUNG at JADE PEN VILLA to settle the resentment over a century. When FUNG knew this, he hurried ZHENG to gather with FAY but he, seeing the royal decree for TAN’S execution, changed his way to the capital.

Everyone gathered at the villa except FENG. FAY laughed out of the other side of his mouth because SHU, afraid of being killed by LUNG, stood alternately beside FAY and LAN. Arriving at the capital, FENG settled ZHENG at a safe place and then went to save TAN. PING secretly opened the bag with a marked sign but LUNG enchanted him with green silkworm. When SHU arrived at the scene, he, however, fell unconscious with SAI for having touched SAI’S clothes. Fortunately, they were saved by FAY. CHOY, having plotted to distract FAY to leave and let LUNG to take the gold pin on LAN’S head, unexpectedly fought with SHU who spilled out the truth of what had happened in the past.
