Right from the first moment I saw Joffrey, I knew it was a little b**ch!
Tell me that this kid's Joffrey dies until the sixth season, children should not be in such important positions, they do not even know judge rights things without any maturity.
i've always heard that anybody could die on this show, but i didin't think they would kill ned stark so soon....gahdamn
Even Cersei was against that execution. What an idiot.
The most emblematic episode so far. To kill the main character in the first season, in such a brutal and unexpected way, is a boldness that is not seen on TV regularly. I congratulate the writers, director and editor of the episode, especially the last scene. Brillant.
Joffrey Baratheon, spoiled child, I hate you with all my strength.
There are already very few characters I like - good or bad alike. Killing of the ones that, at least, have a small upside isn't helping.
-just shows the true awesome potential of GoT and the universe it created
-just that entire scene was so bone-chilling
-maisie williams and sophie turner are so good in the final scene
-this is definitely the episode that made Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones
I didn't think they would actually kill him! That little b*tch
Robb Stark: "I sent two thousand men to their graves today".
Theon Greyjoy: "The bards will sing songs of their sacrifice."
Robb: "Aye, but the dead won't hear them."
Robb goes to war against the Lannisters. Jon finds himself struggling to decide if his place is with Robb or the Night's Watch. Drogo has fallen ill from a fresh battle wound. Daenerys is desperate to save him.
What I Liked:
The pacing of this penultimate episode is unbelievable, with not a single dull moment. It's a testament to the level of care every person involved has given.
As usual, it is impossible not to be impressed by the high-quality production value, as well as the meticulous attention to detail. Again, acting all around is solid.
Ned Stark's death is easily the most shocking scene so far - an unbelievable end to a great character. Game of Thrones continues to outdo itself with these jaw-dropping cliffhangers.
What I Disliked:
Nothing.
Overall:
Game of Thrones delivers its best showing so far, leaving an undeniable impact on the series with this unbelievably constructed penultimate episode. You would be hard-pressed to find a show more tautly written and produced in its premiere season.
10/10
King Cadmium.
gosh damn. I heard a lot of people saying that Game if Thrones was one of the shows where you shouldn't really attach yourself to the characters too much because chances are that they are going to die but that ending really brought that statement to fruition. I didn't expect them to kill him off that early in but wow it made a great scene. The acting of Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams in this scene was absolutely next level. Can't wait to watch the finale of this season. omg I am literally hooked.
This episode is nothing special... until the end. One of the most shocking scenes in television history. No one expected Ned Stark to die like that, especially not so soon. For that reason alone, the episode gets a 10 rather than an 8.
"You think my life is some precious thing to me? That I would trade my honor for a few more years of ...Of what? You grew up with actors. You learned their craft and you learnt it well. But I grew up with soldiers. I learned how to die a long time ago."
Did you get a look at his daughters?? Robb is so me.. I love him.
A real devastating episode. It‘s brilliant from an execution point but such a tragic ending for Ned Stark and an unforgivable betrayal that will make you hate Joffrey even more.
