Bran: I can never be Lord of Winterfell, I can never be Lord of anything, I'm the Three-eyed Raven.

Also Bran: I'm the King.

loading replies

What a wonderful ending to an 8 year journey. I am very pleased with it :D

loading replies

Not the best ending we could have and this last saison seem really rush but I was expecting so much worse I'm happy with this.

loading replies

Apart from the final stretch that led to the events of the previous episode, I wouldn't change a thing. It was the perfect ending to a great show - for me, one of the greatest.

It's sad to see it go but damn, it was worth every minute spent watching it as well as discussing it.

Hopefully at least one of the spin-offs will come to life a few years down the road and if they manage to capture even a glimpse of the feeling that this one had, it'll be pure nostalgia.

loading replies

At least they don’t have to build a new throne now that Bran is king.

loading replies

What a way to end this huge series!

loading replies

Taken in isolation where the final season is concerned, this was a solid finale. Once I set aside the rushed nature of some things in earlier episodes by pretending that this was episode ten of the season instead of episode six, I was able to appreciate most of it.

Having said that, there has never been a book or a TV show or a movie where every reader or viewer was happy with the way that everything ended, and that probably goes double or triple for adaptations. Where TV is concerned, I'm beginning to think that shows that are cancelled without warning are the lucky ones, at least for the writers. Sure, fans might be angry about a cliffhanger that goes unresolved because of Those Dang Suits At Corporate, but that seems to pale in comparison to the anger that gets vented when the writers choose to wrap things up in ways that some fans don't like.

loading replies

Such an anticlimactic and disappointing ending

loading replies

So Game of Thrones is musical chairs and the guy who wins is the one who was sitting the whole time

loading replies

Booooooooooooo! Booooooo! throws vegetables at TV and hissing in Peasantry

loading replies

It seems like you either hated or loved this series finale. I thought it was just... okay?! Am I allowed to say it was okay?

loading replies

Tommy Wiseau could have done it better, surely. Bollocks.....

loading replies

That ending was so disappointing, I cannot even describe with words the letdown. I'm just happy is over, and we got at least closure. Time to move on to other shows, and forget this season ever happen.

loading replies

This may have been the most boring tv episode I have ever watched. This season was like, ok, we don't want to do this show anymore lets wrap it up as quick as possible, but the last episode lets just have everyone sit around and talk.

loading replies

Worst season ever... this will make Lost final look a masterclass

loading replies

I'm glad this is almost over

loading replies

And sadly this great tv show has come to an end

Bruh

(This review needs to be at least five words.)

loading replies

And now my watch has ended.

loading replies

For the past few years I always heard everyone saying it has a bad ending, but I don't see it that way, everything had to happen in the way it did.

I think it was the perfect ending that the show needed. But maybe it just happened too soon

loading replies

If you have sympathy for the Lannisters, just know, you're the reason that oppression exists in this world. You're the reason that people are beaten, tortured, sexually assaulted, raped, and murdered. It's b/c, you feel this faux sympathy for their oppressors. It's not real sympathy; it's only lip-service, b/c real sympathy involves action to support those in need of assistance. Sympathy comes in finite supplies and should be reserved for those being oppressed, not those oppressing. The fact that the writers felt the need to make the death of the Lannisters a sympathetic moment says that they're really a danger to society, b/c they found good qualities in violent, sadistic, murderous, torturous subhumans. If you find good qualities in those like that, there's something very, very wrong w/ you. To listen to that lying, conniving, cowardly mutt, Tyrion Lannister, moralize was sickening.

And, this was the single worst episode I'd ever had the displeasure of watching to end a series. What a pile of shit. The writers and showrunners should never work in television or film again.

loading replies

really enjoyed watching the show and I think it had a great ending. I am going to miss the characters

loading replies

The final seasons of the series weren't the strongest, but the finale is nowhere near as bad as online opinion had me think. It's perfectly fine.

loading replies

it might be because i kept on hearing how bad it was that my expectations were very bad. but i didnt think it was a horrible ending it was fine

loading replies

I really liked this episode quite a bit!

despite winning the "GREAT" war in one battle in Winterfell in one episode, i still was able to forgive them coz the following was good especially concerning daenarys but they really should have stopped at Jon killing her.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed by the ending

Dragons truly are intelligent creatures. It knew it was the throne that no one should ever sit upon again. I'm glad with how the story has ended. Although I wanted Jon to be king, I'm content with Bran being king as well even though he doesn't want it. Maybe only those who don't really want to rule were fit to be rulers. Kinda strange. What else is strange are the others' comments. There is no way Daenerys could've kept her rule, she was beginning to look like her father. It was so out of character for her to say "They don't get to choose" when Jon asked her what of others' good... A slaver's mindset. Might've been the beginning of her losing her mind.

For years I have been listening to people say how bad the series finale of GoT is, and just now, as I finish the very last episode, a few years after the show ended, I guarentee you, it is THAT BAD. I loved the show, and that's why I get so frustated, it's not fair, I feel robbed. I do like some parts of it, but generally speaking, this is one of the worst series finales I ever watched.

loading replies

I still don't know if I liked it or not. I just finished it, this time the whole series in a row, and still don't know what I expected. I don't even know which number to choose to evaluate this episode. I guess the season was too fast and they did not develop everything correctly but the ending may be good. I don't know. I think I need to watch it again... and again... and again.

loading replies

Now this episode wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I mean, there were better ways that you could have ended a great series such as this one but I can live with it.

One thing I wish they had done is given a more satisfying ending for Danerys, she died so suddenly and she was such a great character that her ending just wasn't satisfactory enough for me.

loading replies

This is a shameful way to end such a great series. So much buildup and it leads to this!

Feel so sad for Jon, you are the rightful king no matter what!

Okay...thinking about it. The Starks have their own titles:
Jon, The King Beyond the Wall..
Sansa, The Queen in The North
Bran, The King of Westeros
Arya, The Queen of the Unknown? lol

If I look at it that way, the ending's pretty okay.. still... I want MOOOAAAARRR

loading replies

meh. Jon made the most difficult of decisions and yet he just got a below "okay" ending. The Starks are all separated, going their own ways.. I just feel like this series' ending was rushed, no time to absorb things that are happening.

loading replies

Peter Dinklage steals this episode and has the best scenes, it was quite moving when Tyrion found the bodies of his siblings, and his later speech about the stories as the only thing bringing people together is also touching. The impromptu coronation of Bran seems too hurried and a bit improbable since Tyrion was a prisoner and everybody agreed to his idea of choosing Bran a king. The scene with Brienne writing Jaimie's story in the Book of Brothers is moving too, and the Song of Ice and Fire Sam brought was a bit of a Tolkienian accent as a throwback to the Red Book of Westmarch written by Bilbo and Frodo. The ending showing the parallel fates of the rest of Stark siblings looks great, the ending may be rushed a bit but at least most of my favourite characters are alive at the end of the Game of thrones which is definitely a plus.

At least Darnerys got what she deserved. But a poor episode, and a bad end to a great show.

loading replies

Please, never ever make a TV show about a series of books that isn't finished yet.

loading replies

I’m stumped.

I thought I’d hate the season and the finale, just like almost everyone is doing, but I thought it was perfect. Incredible last episode.

The end sequence, when Jon comes to a certain realisation, is something I unexpectedly smiled at. I loved it.

I don’t understand how the “writing was crappy”, as folks are saying; because it was magnificent. This is what the entire series was made for: an unexpected turn, just as GRRM wanted.

How can anyone say character development was lost when it was everything?!

I hope the spin-off shows us Arya’s adventures in the West!

loading replies

It's not a perfect ending. But quoteing Bran: "Everything were excatly how they were supposed to be."

still made you watch in anticipation but Dani's transformation, total lack of usefull lines for John , Arya's near escape via de white horse @ episode 5 only to ... do nothing in episode 6 and almost everything abound the ending made this the worst season of got

let's just hope the new books (if the books will ever be made) will feel better put together and logical then the series.

loading replies

I wish there were negative numbers for rating this episode. There's disappointment, disbelief, then unadulterated anger at the writers for ending this great show with such a heaping pile of dog sh*t. I hope to God that GRRM completes the series so I can see the actual way we get to the true ending.

loading replies

I liked the end, things have gone fast this season. We will miss some of you :grinning:

I like how Arya trained to become an assassin for two seasons, had the prophecy of killing someone with brown eyes, blue eyes and green eyes, then decided not to kill green-eyed Cersei because of one sentence said by the Hound and wasn't much interested in killing green-eyed Daenerys only to become Dora the Explorer in the end. How satisfying.

loading replies

when the song of ice and fire book came out - that was the moment this show jumped the shark. Unbelievable. It looked more like a joke scene to put on the dvd extras. I can’t believe the actors took it seriously and it was actually part of the show. One of many reasons this last episode was beyond terrible.

A couple of touching scenes but the rest... TO THE TOILET Y'ALL.

loading replies

The only thing that's frustrating is that the series is over !!! As for the end itself if nothing else this series proved to be anything other than predictable !!!

loading replies

I feel extremely disappointed...

loading replies

After the desaster of The Bells, this is the best they could’ve come up with. I liked it, Peter Dinklage stole the show once again.

loading replies

It was a good episode.I don't know why but I shed a tear during Drogon reacting to Danny's death. If they had gone with 10 Episodes it would have been much better at pacing.

It was a awesome journey. Like ending of every other major show people are complaining. Yeah there are genuine reasons too but it wasn't so bad(like dexter bad).

loading replies

Well that was dissappointing :(

I truly can imagine how the writes sat together and said: "Hey, we have another 1.5h left to fill, how can we make this as boring as possible¿ We don't want fans to crave for another episode."

loading replies

Thank god this is over now... The only parts that were actually good was Jon's interaction with Ghost and Sansa becoming the Queen of The North.

loading replies

And now our watch has ended
.
.
It's done, we have a new King and Queen.
(I'm not so happy about it, but that's what we have.)

This is the end of an era, so much memories...

Thanks for everything!

So sad the way Danny died but I understand why. Disappointed in John's fate. Thought he would end up King. Confused by the fact that he was supposed to be King but ended up not.

loading replies

The writers were in a hurry and wanted to finish it quickly!! The best series of history till now had the worst ending ever. Maybe they wanted to tell a message that power changes people and people will do differently when they take the power so do not get killed for making someone the governor. I think so but we hadn't watch this show to get a message!! Another season could complete this by writing a longer story, a bigger war between dead and alive, a better death for night king, better war between north and capital and so. However the show has been finished and talking do not make any changes. By the way 20/may is my birthday and GOT has been finished after 8 years exactly on my birthday.

loading replies

Surely not what I expected to see, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't good. I thought that Daenerys would at least feel bad but she didn't seem to care at all. She actually thought that she did the right thing... I hoped for Jon to take the throne after this beautiful scene with him kissing her for the last time but still no. Like I said though, it doesn't mean that it was bad. Not that bad like everyone claims at least. The inevitable happened. I'm not really happy with Bran taking the destroyed throne either, but I was really happy for Tyrion and for every act of his. He deserved being the Hand for once more. I wouldn't say the same about his feelings for Jaimy and perhaps Cersei. It's sad that no one got to know about Jon's true identity and he had to go... What I really think is that it was a good finale but not for Game of Thrones. I'm sure they could have done much better.

Last episode disappointment. Bran! King!

loading replies

Boy oh boy. I'm speechless. This was so bad, on every level. The lack of caring for Daenerys and the way they treated her was despicable. The way they killed her also instead of looking part of the story felt like the writers are symbolically killing their story.

loading replies

I feel like this finale will be one of the most controversial on television. Some will say was perfect, others will say that butchered the story arcs.
I give it a 9 only by ignoring that the other seasons exist, because without them it was a really amazing and kinda fulfilling ending.
However, those seasons exist... Well, I'll be watching the prequels.

loading replies

seeing all the complaints here about this final episode has brought me great joy. your misery and frustration pleases me immensely

loading replies

Big disappointment, what could have been, if they didn't rushed things up? Guess we'll never know...

loading replies

Disappointing ending... It feels as if they just tried to tie up loose ends quickly.

loading replies

This ending couldn’t have been more perfect. So emotional, so well prepared and so so beautifully shot. The Iron Throne got us the answers we needed to close this series and more. I’m sure George is incredibly proud. When the big moment came for my all time favorite character and role model, I wasn’t even in shock or sad, because it’s that good and well written. The moment that truly got me though is when Drogon picked up his mother and flew away. Yeah, there were tears, there was laughter and indeed, the ending is bittersweet. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had this show in my life, and I will never stop rewatching this. Me nem nesa.

loading replies

Oh how much I miss Geoffrey!!

loading replies

Lol lol lol lol lol

loading replies

I just want to add that I hope D&D will never write again. They can produce whatever they want, but they are terrible writers.

loading replies

So at last we reached the end of this epic tale of ice and fire. I must say I did like the ending even though it wasn't perfect. Sure the whole season was way to short and rushed but overall they did a good job bringing it to the end. We all knew that GoT never would get its fairy tale ending but that it would be bittersweet and that it definitely was. Anyways the series finale was good and got one of the best CGI the show ever did. I could watch Drogon scenes the whole day.
Fact is I'm very sad this show is over and I guess it won't be that soon that another show of this caliber will come around.

So please stop thinking that there will be a more "beautiful" ending in the books (If we actually get those).
So what, your beautiful theories all thorn into pieces... come on!!!
And why should we think "we" could "write" a better ending than the one who actually is GRRM...

So stop throwing those tomatoes and appreciate how magical this ride was.

spend 7 seasons building up characters to dump them in the toilet in a botched 8th season. Pure garbage. I can imagine the writers in a room trying to figure out how to do the complete opposite of what people expect instead of a logical conclusion.
