I don't get the dislike this still gets from some people. This is easily one of the strongest episodes to date, and seriously, how can you not look forward to the rest of the season. They set it up perfectly for the next few weeks.

Ugh. The writing and acting, so bad. The cheese is thick and stinky.
All that season 1 did wrong, in a nutshell.
Well I thought this show had a pretty good cast. I was wrong. This show has a terrific cast.
This was a great episode, and a great start to Season 2. The way that Gotham is filmed is awesome, and the acting is on point for a Batman TV series, and the story is really developing! Gordon and Penguins relationship is creepy, and it's interesting to see Gordon struggle with evil in himself and the need for it in Gotham. Hopefully Bullock starts drinking again and we see him back to his old self as the bad cop, and comedy relief Gordon needs.
Nice Burton-esque touch. Hope it stays through the season
I liked it. Jerome takes place so much more than first season.

Since Bruce is a kid they can not use him, so they are using young Gordon to show the Masculine side of Batman and young Bruce to show his brains.
Way to go James! That's how to get your job back!!
There's some seriously bad people in Gotham! I have a hunch mayhem is about to be unleashed!
Nice start for this season, I hope they get better and better. And I'm liking The Joker... A lot.

Its Chess! Everyone remembers The Cape (http://trakt.tv/shows/the-cape-2011), right? The greatest superhero show of all time? Six seasons and movie? Well it looks like Gotham is cribbing it's villains from The Cape now. Makes sense, everyone always want a piece the big guy. If Gotham is half the show The Cape was, it would be a huge step up.
This episode was actually a big improvement from last season. More of people like Zaardon! Balloon Man doesn't really have the same charm. The big reveal of what was behind the fireplace door was a bit lame though. Another locked door! How mysterious! I hope there is a safe behind the door.

Amazing and perfect season premiere, very touching especially at the end, I never knew this show could become so great, it has climbed up a lot from my list of top tv shows. Best show about DC Comics.
