At first I didn't get this episode but then I found it amazing.
BRAVO Ellen Pompeo (Happy Birthday by the way) That performance was beutiful.
Meredith made me cry when she talk to the kids.
Derek... Man I miss you.
Stephanie IS the best resident.
Owen sister was so funny. He needs to talk about it.
Dr. Webber's mother was adorable.
Those story where powerful.
Next week, the Midseason/Winter Finale.

At first I didn't get it. I was a bit annoyed and felt like it was a cop out 'filler' episode but by the end I was glad that the show has the freedom to write eps like this. It was an interesting way to get an insight into the history and motivations of each of them without unnatural exposition.
Also I didn't think I missed Derek but seeing him in that scrub room definitely brought a tear to my eye.
And has Mere been wearing his scrub caps all this time and I've only just noticed? Dammit.

It was nice to know more about the characters backstory, but this episode was a total filler.

Loved the concept, and the fact that the whole episode almost did leave this specific OR.
But sadly, it had proven to me that I almost don't care about any character in this show right now except for Alex Karev, so if nothing changes, the moment he leaves it'll become pointless for me. But I hope they'll keep it back on track for me as well, I think this is one of these series that viewers are most invested in, both because it was so good at the beginning, and because it was with us for such a long time.
Also... Wait a minute, did Owens' sister just hint that he and Mer can be a thing?! Too much for me...

Weirdly, I was a little freaked out at the beginning!
I love bottle episodes, I wish they could do one of these for every character! Richard pissed me off a bit but other than that, it was pretty good!

This is what a good episode of Grey's Anatomy feels like, not the mess that was the previous one.
Great way of humanizing the patient.
I loved how each story was told and the internal conflicts that each surgeon went through.

I'm still so unbelievably pissed about Derek dying, and I really miss his character. I knew from the moment I realized Gail was Richard's mother (which was pretty early on), that Derek would make an appearance. Not enough time has passed for me to be okay with the writers killing him in such a pointless, pathetic way, so I didn't really appreciate them bringing him up.
Nice attempt in trying to get the viewers to cry, writers. With me, you almost succeeded.
The only part I liked about this episode was getting to meet Owen's sister. I wish she wasn't dead. She would be a hilarious addition to the show

Best episode in recent history. Gives a history to the characters without needless exposition. It kept the action moving and put the little back stories right along side it.
