Jesus Christ. This episode portrays the Police as terrorist and murderers. Can we stop highly politicising TV Shows? I do not watch shows to get politics thrown at me

Things were just chill and they weren't? He swears they did nothing wrong? Tell that to all those business owners who got beat up and had their stores looted and destroyed. Then same businesses and more businesses the next day and the next and...So it's one thing inserting all this political stuff in the tv shows but then lie about it completely is another.

Omg come on! They made police look like some terrorists and killers. Almost turned off the episode how stupid and over exaggerated it was!

I've rewritten this a few times now, previously along the lines of the "flogging a dead horse" idiom. Then it dawned on me, sure you can try, but you can't fix willful ignorance, that's a personal choice. However, you can keep flogging until your intended audience is forced to look and see the horse for what it truly is, and if they're not looking, at least for their friends and family who are looking to see enough to stay on them to change. THAT is the point of "flogging the dead horse". To be as constant, as insidious as prejudice and self deception, and eventually it will effect positive change.

Loved Schmidt's growth in this episode.
All the rest, as skewed as it is, can be overlooked as a reflection of an era, and obviously, there's always two sides to things.
I didn't really like Jackson's behavior in this episode. It's very childish not to see that his mother achieved and blazed a trail not any less than people in all the rallies and marches. Perhaps it's not really about that, but a need to feel connected to something, so I guess he's going to his dad now? Whatever, I hope he'll find a balance between being an ideologist (with no grasp in reality) and a very wealthy and influential man through heritage.
Also, watching this at the end of 2023, It's very ironic to see their struggles, knowing it only got worse from that point on all around the world. Very sad. I just hope that it really is the most dark before the sunrise (but you can never be sure it won't get even darker).

A year and a half since I shelved the show and another heavy handed episode to come back to. I get the need for the focus but Grey's does it with such a lack of finesse that it does a disservice to the message. It won't educate people it'll must make them roll then eyes.

The racism in this comment section.

This was probably the best episode of the season so far. Was definitely worried for Winston. Powerful and important message.
