denny was very john winchester this episode with all the "man" talk. also, while derek waas technically right, you can't expect someone to be perfect all the time (she DID just turn her back for like 2 seconds, and he wasn't considered high-risk), it doesn't mean he yells at her about taking responsibility. Just projecting his own issues of seeing meredith with another guy instead of with him. And im loving the reality check karev is getting.
