Guth, the irish word for Voice, is a six-part series on TG4 that illustrates the impact the Irish diaspora had on popular music in the US and UK in the second half of the last century.
Focussing on Bing Crosby, John Lydon, Morrissey and Marr, Dusty Springfield, John Lennon, and the Gallagher Brothers, through a combination of interviews and archive footage both of their work and emigrant life, Guth crafts a story that is part social history, part music documentary.
