Been meaning to watch Forward Unto Dawn for years now, thought I'd give it a shot since the new Halo TV show airs tomorrow and wow I'm genuinely surprised!
If you're a fan of Halo (especially 4) you'll definitely enjoy this. They really captured the Halo vibe and the effects are shockingly good which was an unexpected surprise.
Forward Unto Dawn definitely sets a president going forward for future Halo film/tv projects, let's hope the new show lives up to it :fingers_crossed:
You will only like this movie if you are like me: a lover of the Halo universe who does not mind seeing the history of characters that we did not know. I liked it, the effects are good and while it may start out slow, then it becomes entertaining, it is not a pure action movie and it was good to see the perspective of the war from a civilian / quasi-marine.

20 minutes in and this feels like military propaganda. Too slow paced and all the marines are incredibly dorky, like they all came from failed sitcoms. I'll probably fall asleep by the middle of it :sleeping:...
