The K.C. Chiefs enter training camp under coach Herm Edwards. The team must deal with a battle at the QB position, a hold out by a star player, and many players fighting for positions.

The QB battle between Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle continues. 1st round pick Dwayne Bowe finally reports for camp, and the hazing begins.

The coaching staff continues to struggle with picking a QB while they deal with their 2nd straight preseason loss. Training camp also moves from Wisconsin to Kansas City.

The Chiefs begin the process of cutting players, including veteran Rod Gardner. After another preseason loss head coach Herm Edwards makes the difficult decision on who his starting QB will be.

The countdown to the final cuts begin with Bobby Sippio, Boomer Grigsby, Derrick Ross, and Tyron Brackenridge all on the bubble. The team attends a booster luncheon the day before the final preseason game versus St. Louis. The team needs to make a tough decision on one-time superstar Priest Homes.
