Intriguing but not yet sure if this holds up to its premise.
Is this the unofficial, dark and twisted continuation of Forever?
If yes, I am not complaining, though.
I just recently finished (loving), "Forever," with this guy and Judd Hirsch (Rieger from, "Taxi").
This may lack the whimsy of immortality, but it has even more room for emotional reactions.... Still, pathologist then, pathologist now -- eh, works for me -- I'm glad my Mom turned me onto this, and two seasons in the can...cool!
Coroner Harrow quits his job in order to spend more time with his daughter - but gets drawn into a cold case that was judged suicide before...
What starts out as the generic crime drama - and continues much in the vain of Gruffudd's previous show "Forever" (excellent, a shame it was cancelled) - turns very interesting indeed with the twist at the end of this series-opener.
(And yes, Fern's "fuck you" at the end was warranted, even without the twist.)
Okay, I'm not going to jump into conclusion so quickly about the father/daughter thing... let's see how things fold out next.
So far so good. This has kept me on edge of my seat.

F U dad indeed.
This is just like Forever (2014) without the immortality.
