Haven: Season 5

5x26 Forever

So its all over. I'm glad - the series often suffered from wooden acting, long and dull stretches of padding, overstated dialogue, overheated melodrama .... and yet I'm not glad, despite the series' many faults I was sad to see the last episode and know that it was the last time I would return to Haven. Even this last episode wasn't great but there is something about these characters that make you care, and saying goodbye to them was never going to be easy after 5 series of their company, even though I liked and disliked them in equal measure.

Farewell Duke, Nathan, Audrey, Vince, Dave and Dwight. I loved you and I didn't love you. I wanted to be with you and I didn't want to be with you. You irritated the hell out of me but I always welcomed you back. You troubled me and you took my troubles away. Goodbye, forever!

Send Nathan away but put him 10 minutes outside of Haven?
Great move pops.

End of the series, just as expected, but has been stretched a lot. Farewell Audrey, Nathan and Duke

I wasn't really expecting a bittersweet ending like that.

It was very good, actually.

Some parts of this season were below par but this ending sort of redeemed it for me.

I feel bad for the ones who sacrificed the most, though. Like I said, I was expecting a feel good ending, with everything fixed or something in that area. So I feel for Dave, Vince, Charlotte and specially Jennifer and Duke, who have given everything and then some more and got (almost) nothing out of it. Oddly, they turned out to be the greatest heroes in the end.

I found the series finale predictable but still satisfying
