A bunker comedy about everything.
On a UN directive they are to send the first TV program aimed at possible extraterrestrial beings to promote planet Earth.
The mission is to spread knowledge about humanity, our operation, our advancements and peculiarities.
For practical reasons, being that the UN have a decommissioned cold war transmitter to spare, the transmissions are being sent out from a small isolated island in the Atlantic.
The studio and the crew of four's living arrangements are hosted within old military bunkers. Nothing on the island is practical for the task and none of the crew members are especially well suited for their jobs. Naturally they do not agree on what should be presented and how their common life in the closed environment should be handled. The majority of the plot in Hej Rymden! regards the daily life on the island, where more or less nothing is smooth sailing.
