Heroes 2006

The 1st 2 seasons were outstanding but it went terribly downhill after that. Don't even get me started on the 4th season. Absolute rubbish. I should have known once I saw the circus come into town!!

I enjoyed this so much. I was so let down when they killed the show before it had a real ending. I actually re-watched a few episodes of Season 4 on Netflix about 2 months ago, because I kept having a feeling that I hadn't watched the final episode. Turns out I had, twice already, it's just because it still felt like it had no real ending or closure.

Man, season 1 of this show was so good. One of the best shows ever. It's too bad that they stopped making the show after that one season. I really wish there was more. At least it ended on a high and didn't devolve into a bunch of mindless crap. That would be terrible.

Mannn this is SO good! It's very rare a show has such an impact on my life like Heroes has, I've made friends because of it and I've lost friends because of it! Each season was perfection and I loved each character uniquely, the powers are super cool. I highly recommend this especially if you're looking for not only a show to watch but an experience 10/10

Let's start by saying this FIRST season is one of the greatest television shows of all times...then it goes downhill. Not like drastically downhill, but it never gets close to reclaiming the spark of Season 1. Seasons 2-4 often have pacing and plot inconsistencies, but regardless it is an incredibly fresh take on the superhero drama. If you enjoy the quirks of the storytelling and the interesting characters, I think you will enjoy the sequel seasons, but just be prepared to occasionally scratch your head. It is very much a show that you need to watch from the beginning to appreciate, which is often a detriment to NBC dramas. I believe the worst part of this show is the premature cancellation. Season 4 teases Season 5, and then it never comes. I have watched this show through on two separate occasions and it still feels like there's an itch I am unable to scratch without a proper conclusion. Sure they did a spinoff (which is included in my season average review below), but it was never quite the same as the original star studded cast.

I have to say that the last season was too much, but it was a really great show for the first three seasons.

I was there for the writers guild strike of 2007-2008. The sudden nosedive in quality around that time in Season 2 is a testament to how important good writers are to good shows. I never lost hope and stuck it out to the bitter end of season 4 but this show never recovered. Take heed of my warning. Don't go past season 2, it's simply not worth it.

With a huge ensemble and many engaging characters it tried to make superheroes look good on TV. It had many awe-inspiring cliffhangers and interesting appearances by cult actors from favorite sci-fi shows. Visually fantastic and strong dialogue was an asset in its first season and one of the best pilots to a show ever made. Sadly it drowned in it's own twists and some characters behaved stupid and strange. The creators seemed afraid to stop the story as it seemed to have been written with no plan for a satisfying end and ongoing cliffhangers killed it. There was also too much focus on killer Sylar who became too powerful and impossible to kill and the best characters got killed off by him. Should have ended after it's first year as a limited show.

First season was outstanding, one of the best seasons ever from any show, then it went deep down into the shitter. It's like Lost all over again.

It's like they make the first season and then see the viewer numbers. When they see the numbers they get bat shit crazy and think they have to up their game to keep the numbers. This just make everything incoherent and destroys story and pacing. Show dead.

I have never been so depressed about a series as when i got a couple of episodes into season 2. Such a waste.

Watched in summer of 2014, didn't finish season 3.

Before Netflix, HBO and other Showmax... Sci-Fi show that showed us, that IT can be made good, almost like a full time blockbuster movie!

First season was amazing and then each season after that got worse and worse with the very last being ridiculous. Still an entertaining show nonetheless.

It was pretty decent, but last season kinda too much for me. But if your looking something to watch i recommend this one too.

This was my introduction to American TV series..... and what a series this was. 11/10 lol

Started off so well, and really enjoyed the first 2 seasons and then it went downhill and down!

Whyyyy didn't they continue this serie???

alright first off the show is great but i had two big disapointment, first was peter losing hes power to hes dad and second was the stupidest ending of S4, it left you like, omg she is so dam stupid... im srr but for this ending i wouldnt recommend this show.

The firsdt two seasons were unbeatable. The third season was passable. After that it was all downhill :(

I agree, started off really great. The first two seasons where enjoyable especially the first keeping me on the edge of my seat. Then they kept rehashing the same plot lines, and it started getting silly. It got to a point where I had to force myself to watch it. I gave up initially after season 3, but much later took a look at season 4. Then after a few eps....gave up again. Went back to it yet again and found myself enjoying season 4.

I don't see myself ever re-watching this show, but you never know.

I'm still amazed by how well done the first season of Heroes was done. I guess that's what makes their downfall hurt that much more. They had a ton of potential if they'd stuck a little closer to the original idea behind the series (new cast of heroes every season) and try to just show people coping with these new powers they've developed. The show had a ton of potential with showing off cool FX, but they were always too constrained by budgetary concerns to show them off as much as they should have. The second season was off to a good start, if a bit muddled with too many storylines intermingled at once and then the writer's strike. The third season they seemed to have lost their focus, but the fourth they seemed to have taken a turn toward improving the series and get back to what made season 1 great, but it was too late. I still really enjoy watching all the episodes and will consider this one of my favorite shows, if even for just the first season.
