Hetalia is a series where it highlight Axis Power coalition countries: Germany, Japan, and Italia, as a human and main charm of the series, although you'll find more personafied countries later on. The title itself is a pun from a wordplay of 「ヘタレ (hetare: incompetent, lazy, loser)」 and 「イタリア (Italia)」. Idk why the author named the franchise like that, ngl lol, but that's where the charms brighten.
The series itself is not serious, short, but still really enjoyable to watch. Heck, you can learn some fun facts about a country, his (yes, a lot of countries depicted as a man) relationship with other country, and maybe some stereotypes with just watching this Anime series. Although you deffo can't use this as your serious kind of research material.
Oh also, you'll meet some micronation that is also not acknowledged by UN, like Sealand, and other extinct countries/empire and depicted as their older brother instead.
My personal take: Must watch for geography and/or history nerds to refresh their knowledge from this fun series
