HorsePower now has its own racing event! The entire season opener will be on location at Carolina Dragway in Aiken, SC. It is the final season race of the Outlaw Racing Street Car Association and features some of the hottest racers in the country in heads-up competition!

HorsePower hosts, Mike Galley and Joe Elmore embark on a mission: to build a car that can compete in heads-up Outlaw racing events. They start with buying a 1979 Chevrolet Malibu... Back at the shop, they tear everything out of the car that won't be used in racing - which is just about everything!

On the last show, Joe and Mike began work on their Outlaw race car. This time they install race-ready suspension pieces and a new rear-end! Plus they build racing roll cage from scratch that will meet all safety requirements.

HorsePower's Project Raunchy Rat is back! This time Joe and Mike will build and install a vintage Ford Flathead motor, supercharger and transmission as the hot rat rod gets closer to completion.

For the first time on TV, the HorsePower hosts will take a brand new '07 Ford Mustang, remove the motor, and install a stroker kit that turns the 4.6 liter engine into 5.0 liter! They will also install performance bolt-ons such as underdrive pulleys, headers and exhaust.

The HorsePower duo finishes their late model Mustang project - stroking a modular motor, adding performance parts and better suspension. Plus, a trip to a wild racing event called the Fat Tuesday Blowout!

The Malibu race car is back in the HorsePower shop for a motor. Joe and Mike will install a supercharger on a 572 GM Peformance Parts big block and dyno it before installing it in the car along with a transmission.

The HorsePower Rauncy Rat returns as Joe and Mike finish the brakes and clutch, also creating a floorboard with road signs, installing some off-the-wall seats and finishing touches.

Mike and Joe take a vintage 1970 Pontiac GTO and turn it into a genuine road-hugger using a state-of-the-art air suspension setup!

HorsePower profiles a fabled Fuel Altered drag race car called the Rat Trap, and puts the finishing touches on the Raunchy Rat, a retro rat rod with a Ford Flathead engine. Plus, another Bang for the Buck using the shop's engine dyno.

The HorsePower rat rod project climaxes with Joe and Mike putting the finishing touches on their Raunchy Rat. Then MuscleCar's Project Blue Hair makes an appearance to get a makeover of its LS2 engine. And as the days get longer, Joe lets you in on some warm weather events across the country including Summer Nights in Kentucky and a host of Good Guys events all over the country!

  • no air date17m

They once called it Project Bluehair, a '72 Nova sleeper with an under-hood full of horsepower. This time the HorsePower guys pull out all stops by installing a 250-horsepower shot of nitrous oxide. Plus, a trip to the annual Year One Experience; it's a drag race, a car show, a road race event and more!

The mid-eighties Chevy Monte Carlo is a new old hot rod with unlimited potential. Joe and Mike get an '86 and start a buildup that includes a new, big block powerplant, manual five-speed transmission, and more. The idea is to build the car they think Chevy should have built back in the beginning.

It's a HorsePower Special featuring the world's fastest engine builders. Four teams of NASCAR pros compete in a contest of speed and accuracy! The last team standing wins big money and bragging rights in the whole world of racing performance.

The HorsePower Team finally pays off their Modified Dirt Race Car, as Mike challenges the car and himself at a sanctioned track! Also, another Bang for the Buck as the hosts test the results of a hydraulic cam conversion kit.

HorsePower's newest project car is back, a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. This time Joe and Mike transform its factory automatic tranny to a five-speed. It's an overwhelming job, but it's easier than you might imagine!

Two teams of recent automotive school grads face in an engine building contest. Not for speed, but rather to see who can make the most horsepower on a fixed budget. These young guys are gunning for victory, hoping their combination rocks the dyno.

Joe and Mike bring in an all original 1966 Dodge Charger for an engine makeover, transforming the carbureted, stock big block to a more efficient, fuel-injected machine. Also, more Outlaw drag racing action, as we head for another eighth mile shootout at Atlanta Dragway.

HorsePower finishes up its current '86 Monte Carlo project, straps it to the chassis dyno for a horsepower test and takes to the streets to pound some pavement. Plus, another Bang for the Buck test of aftermarket components using the shop's engine dyno!

Joe pays a visit to a car show in Illinois that pays tribute to the American Mother Road, Route 66. Plus, Buddy- the new HorsePower engine expert, will impart some vital tech secrets every budding engine builder should know.

It's a season-ender contest to determine the best competitors of the eighth-mile drag strip. It's called the The Second Annual Horsepower Outlaw Finals, and it promises to deliver even more thrills than the inaugural event.
