Marcus and Jennifer are ready to upsize from their small starter house and buy a much larger place. He wants a house that's at least 2500 square feet, has space in the backyard to build a pool, a game room for his son and a 3 car garage. Jennifer, on the other hand, is all about the aesthetics. She wants a 2 story traditional with a stone/brick facade, an upgraded kitchen, granite countertops and vaulted ceilings. Will they be too picky to compromise if they don't find it all?

Ron, a professor, and his wife, Nikki-Nicole, a lighting designer, are looking to plant roots for their budding family in Durham, North Carolina. But Ron prefers modern, where Nikki-Nicole prefers Craftsman. Their dynamic wish list that includes a space for chickens, and a pristine bathroom, is also complicating the house hunt.

Kevin and Kara are looking for a Chicago condo with at least two bedrooms, and no en-suite master bathroom. Kevin's looking for an industrial-style loft with space for a dark room, and absolutely no chandeliers. Kara would like to find a traditional brownstone that only has three or four units. How will this couple find everything they want with such different design requirements and a very modest budget?

Matt and fiancee Bre are young professionals living in downtown Toledo's warehouse district. Tired of renting, they've decided it's time to buy. Problem is, Matt wants to stay downtown and buy an industrial style loft, while Bre wants a home outside the city with a great neighborhood, and room for a future family. Who will win out?

Brian and Harriett are moving their three kids from Tampa to Pensacola, Florida, to be closer to family, but they have very different priorities. Harriet loves "wow factor", and would love to find a home near the beach with grand Greek Revival style and a gourmet kitchen. Brian is more concerned with safety, and would prefer a sturdy ranch style home farther inland, where the family will be protected from hurricanes. With a $450,000 budget can they find a place that's the perfect balance of style and safety?

Larrishia and Cameron are newlyweds who have never lived in a house before. She desperately wants a French provinicial-style house with an all brick exterior, while he would prefer a traditional, almost colonial style home. They both enjoy various arts and crafts; Cameron likes making bracelets and Larrishia loves gift wrapping, so they want plenty of space to spread out and do their work. With a limited budget, can they find a house that has everything they want?

Seth and Keri are anxious to get out of Seth's bachelor pad and into a home they can grow into. Seth dreams of living on a golf course, while Keri longs to live on the beach. Will their million dollar budget buy them a compromise?

Caine, who's originally from Hawaii, wants a home in Seattle that will remind him of the island life, so he's looking for houseboat on Lake Union. But since life on a houseboat comes with its own set of challenges, he's bringing along his friend Drew to help figure out how much modern comfort and convience he's willing to give up in exchange for an affordable place on the water.

After getting transferred from Maryland to Honolulu, naval officer, Jim, and his wife, Rachel, want to buy their first home. Even though they have a sizable budget of $550,000, it's still below the Honolulu median home price. Still, Rachel wants a big plantation style home with a view, a big kitchen, a fenced in yard, and a location close to the beach. Jim just wants to be close to his base in Pearl Harbor. Will these Honolulu newbies be able navigate the competitive Hawaiian market?

While most Los Angeles residents move to the suburbs when they're ready to settle down, Brian and Stephanie want to stay in the city. Stephanie's pushing for a Craftsman, but Brian insists on a Spanish style home. Can they afford to be so picky in a market that's threatening to price them out?

After a year of living with her parents, Ohio couple Sam and Meredith are at an impasse on their house hunt. She wants a historic charmer walking distance to shops and restaurants in quaint Westerville, outside Columbus. He's ok with going a little farther outside that tiny radius if it means a bigger and newer home. Sam, an avid comic book collector, also wants a "nerd nook" where he can geek out in private. Armed with a budget of just $320,000 it might take a superhero to sort this one out.

Ariel and his fiancee, Julie, want out of their one bedroom apartment and into a place of their own. They both want to live near downtown D.C., but that's about all they agree on. Ariel's looking for a traditional style condo and wants move in ready, while Julie's hoping for a modern style house, and is open to renovation. With a budget of up to $650,000, can they find a compromise?

Neither Andy nor Laura wants to give up their desired architectural style in this Denver house hunt. He wants Victorian and she wants Craftsman. Who will win this battle of styles in the Mile High City?
