Hosted by Suzanne Whang, the show takes viewers behind the scenes as individuals, couples and families learn what to look for and decide whether or not a home is meant for them. Focusing on the emotional experience of finding and purchasing a new home, each episode follows a prospective buyer and real estate agent through the home-buying process, from start to finish.

A young, savvy homebuyer decides between a small condo in an upscale neighborhood, or a single family home in an up and coming neighborhood. With her boyfriend along on the house hunt, they look at homes both inside and outside the loop in Houston.

Political consultant, John, and his wife, Jessica, have moved from Washington D.C. to upstate New York to bring up their twin girls near family. John needs a private office where he can run his political advertising business without being interrupted by crying babies, while Jessica's more concerned with finding a big entertaining space to host her extended family. Can they find a move-in ready home in Rochester that falls within a $200,000 budget?

Airline pilot, Dave, has always wanted what is referred to in the airline industry as a Captain's Home, where he can retire one day in style. So he and partner, Chris, are on the hunt for a large, upscale home in the Orlando area. But while Dave wants a large plot of land on the outskirts of town, Chris wants a home near downtown since he watches a lot of crime dramas that make him terrified of being alone in a home out in the country.

Graham and his wife, Kayla, are hunting for a home on the Hawaiian island of Oahu where he's stationed in the Coast Guard. But even with a $550,000 budget they quickly learn their money won't go far in this pricey market, especially since they want a single family home. And since he's open to a fixer-upper, but Kayla wants move in ready, they might have to consider a townhome.

After years of moving around for his military career, Terry now has a settled job in the Washington National Guard, so he and his wife Brenda are ready to buy a house in their adopted hometown of DuPont, Washington. She dreams of finding a Northwestern Contemporary that has a ground floor office with a large window, so she can feel a part of the community while she works at home. Terry wants an open concept home that allows him to vacuum all the rooms while never moving from one central spot. On this hunt, they may find that settling down will cause them to settle for something that may not meet their quirky wishes.

After moving around a lot over the last 12 years, Otniel, his wife, Darling, and their 3 kids are on the hunt for a home in Dacula, Georgia, where they can settle down for good. But while he wants to spend as little as possible, she's willing to break the bank for brand new and huge. Can he convince her to settle for less?

Single mom, Wendy, is tired of her cramped apartment, so she's looking for a long-term home to share with her young daughter. She wants lots of closet space and no split-levels. But because she has trouble making decisions, and tends to spend more than she can afford, she's bringing along her friend, and self-proclaimed home buying expert, Brittany, to keep her on focused on the essentials.

Newlyweds, Thomas and Kelly, want to buy a home in Folsom, California, that can accommodate their combined 5 children. Their biggest challenge may be that Thomas wants to a ranch style house with a lot of land, while Kelly wants a Mediterranean style house in a community with neighbors close by. Thomas is also pushing for a pool, which requires maintenance that Kelly doesn't want to take on. Can they find a house that will work for everyone?

Newlyweds Spencer and Meg are targeting condominiums and duplexes with vintage charm in the Lakeview and Lincoln Park areas of Chicago. Spencer wants a home with enough space for his beer-brewing hobby, while Meg is more focused on an in-unit washer and dryer. They both agree on a place with a patio, but not with a hamburger layout as they call it, which is when food must be carried through the master to access the patio.

Lindsay was born on Christmas day, is Christmas obsessed, and wants a home that she can turn into a Christmas palace every December. Her budget conscious husband, however, would like a reasonable, contemporary home for the rest of the year. Will they be able to find a home for all seasons?

De'Andre and Tasha are newlyweds buying their first home in the North Dallas suburbs. She wants a Craftsman style home with all the built-ins and character they come with, but it has to be new construction with contemporary features, too. De'Andre wants modern design, a work-out room, and a big game room to watch sports with his friends. Does a house like that exist?

Corey and Tiffany are newly married and are moving from Maryland, where they met, to Texas, where she went to college. They're ready to buy their first home, but it won't be easy to find all the space and amenities they're dreaming of in a starter home that fits within their $125,000 budget, especially since Corey wants a two-story and Tiffany wants a ranch.

In search of an upgrade, Edwin and Gisela, have recently sold their fourth home, a 1900-square-foot place in Tampa. They want a house with lots of space for entertaining their large extended family, and a private backyard with a pool for the kids. Plus, they're adamant that it be in a planned community, with lots of amenities like a fitness room, tennis courts and a playground. Will house #5 be the one that makes them both happy?
