A self-described Chicago urban pioneer, Amy wants to give back to the city that she loves by purchasing a fixer-upper single family home in an up-and-coming neighborhood, and renovating it completely. She's enlisted the help of a friend in the house hunt, who worries she might be biting off more than she can chew.

Rasheen and Erinn have just relocated their family of 4 from Houston to the midwestern Quad Cities area. They're focusing on large family homes in Bettendorf, Iowa, but disagree on a number of things. She wants a vintage fixer-upper, but he wants brand new. He wants a place to put his big, red London phone booth, but she wants to get rid of it. Who'll win out?

Baltimore couple Tiffany and Dave are ready to move out of the bachelor pad he bought several years ago and into a place they can both call their own. She'd prefer a row house like the one they currently live in, but with more space and lots of charm, and as close to downtown as possible. He, on the other hand, no longer wants to be attached to neighbors, so he's looking for a large detached Colonial in a suburban environment.

Jeff and Michelle are a young couple with a toddler looking to buy a home in suburban Detroit. They love how the city is starting to bounce back, and they want to be part of it's turnaround. However, Jeff wants new construction with all the modern amenities included, while Michelle would prefer a vintage home she can update and put her own touches on.

Dylan and Jenica are looking for their first home in Providence, Rhode Island. He's set on a loft, or an income property, in the heart of downtown. She has her eyes on a single family colonial in the suburbs, with a formal dining room and good space for her to give voice lessons.

Rhiannon, Jeyson, and their 3 growing kids are moving to Davenport, Iowa for her job as a professor at a local university. She wants to buy a Victorian home with rich wood details, beautiful staircase and tiled floors. Jeyson, who is from the Dominican Republic, wants a Spanish style house with brick. Another issue, Jeyson doesn't want to compromise on his own private bathroom, and a large closet for his growing wardrobe.

Andrew and Lisa have just moved from South Carolina to her hometown of Colorado Spings to be near family. Andrew insists that they look for a home with a finished basement so he can watch football with friends. Lisa wants to make sure they find a Craftsman with an attractive front door to give a good impression to visitors. They'd also like a view of the local mountains, which might be tough since Andrew, a banker, insists that they stick to their entry-level budget.

With a new job on the horizon, and dreams of being in a heavy metal band left behind in Austin, Evan and Enny are on the hunt for a home in San Antonio. But he wants one of the area's old ranch style homes, and she'd prefer a new build.

Texas couple Heath and Sonya have just relocated to Nashville for his new job. To get the kids excited about the move, Heath promised them a pool. Unfortunately, a home in the Nashville suburbs that has a pool within their budget isn't an easy thing to find. And since Heath picks on everything from the style of hardwood floors, to plastic siding, this family's biggest challenge in finding a new home might be Heath himself.

Doug and Kathleen moved away from their beloved Savannah, Georgia, to pursue a work opportunity, but they couldn't stay away for long. They're returning to Savannah to buy a pied a terre so they can stay connected to their favorite city.

Ben and Erin are living together in a house he bought and renovated. He's flipped several properties, and is looking for another home with good bones that he can renovate for profit. But Erin has never bought before, and is looking for a move-in ready place that can be their forever home.

Young first time buyer, Kristina, wants a move in ready home with all the bells and whistles, and plenty of space for her dog, Diva, in Memphis, Tennessee. But her mom thinks she should buy a lower cost fixer that she can make her own over time. Can she convince Kristina to delay gratification?
