Once again, Barney has proven why he's the best character of the show. Without him, everyone else in it would be going insane.

8.7/10. I enjoyed this one. It was certainly silly, but it was fun at the same time. Barney's video resume is more or less what you'd expect from him, and the urgency of Robin having to find a job led to some great comedic scenes (the overwrought criticisms of her lottery technique were a highlight) but also some real stakes and pathos in what failure would cost her. Again, I'm not crazy about the Barney-Robin romance side of things, but this at least shows there's a side of Barney that's willing to go to great lengths for her in a believable, Barney-like way.

And the B-story about Marshall, Ted, and Lily all reliving accomplishments from their younger days was a hoot as well. Marshall's "dancer's hip" and the way the gang ripped on him was hilarious; Ted's obnoxious Dr. X persona is perfectly in character for him, and Lily's hotdog eating contest past is one of those goofy details that really works for her. At the same time, the theme of letting go of the past and moving forward is a bit trite, but was well-executed here. Good stuff all-around.
