6.8/10. Decently funny episode. Barney encouraging Ted to score with a random "conquest," only to discover that she's Barney's half-sister is the kind of clever, if weird twist the show's capable of. And yet the fact that Barney demands they get married upon learning the news, replete with having prepared all the wedding accoutrements at the ready, made it a little too zany for my tastes. Still, Ted returning Barney's "wink" bit about Barney being with Ted's mom felt like good (though again, weird) turnabout as fair play.
I probably liked Robin's "engagement ring makes me invisible" story the best. It's a little retrograde, but it's the kind of exaggerated take on minor phenomena that are the show's bread and butter. Lily being attracted to Marshall because of a leather cuff he's having an allergic reaction is the kind of one-joke C-story the couple seems to get saddled with regularly at this point, and it didn't do much for me. Overall, an okay-not-great ep.
