A solid beginning to a second season. Honestly, many new shows lose their way in between the first and second season. Most times, that means that they try the exact same thing in the second season and the novelty of the narrative wears off. What I like about Humans is that they picked up where they left off, filled in the gaps for a reasonably sized time jump, and didn't ignore any elements of the last season. It's clear that there is more for us to learn about the time in between seasons, but I'm glad the writers didn't stake too much of the plot on it. As always the acting is awe-inspiring, the movements of the AIs is incredible.
TL;DR It looks like season 2 is going to be moving resolutely forward instead of making an unreasonable time jump so that they can look back, which is a mistake many new shows make.

Very promising start to the new season. It's a shame the US gets it so late. Nevertheless, I love how they are taking us around the globe to see supposedly how Synths are regarded and used in areas outside of Europe. I hope to see more black synths and black people in general on the show. It seems that it's only appropriate that TV -- even outside of the US -- portray more people of color in important and viable roles. This culture of whitewashing TV and film has become unreal considering how many successful and truly talented black actors their are. With that aside, Humans is still a compelling show, maybe not as nuanced as say, Westworld, but certainly a show worth watching right now.
The first half of episode was very disappointing but the second part with Trinity was great. Looks like season will be more dynamic and complex.
