As annoying as Agnes is, she does have a point in saying Max is not acting. He is lovely, but as a leader so far I'm not sure his decisions were the best - surely they could have kept the new Synths in a secluded location keeping tabs on them rather then throwing them out. Or he could have just told them about Leo.. What Synth would want to harm the offspring of the guy that gave them a conscience? Though of course Max is affected by the death of Flash in his recent actions.
The side plot with Karen and Sam surprised me. I wasn't very keen on it at first (keep thinking that the boy can't grow anyway, so eventually he'll just... Stay being a kid?) but by this episode, with Joe helping them and whatnot, I found it more entertaining. The prospect of Joe, who is running away from any Synth interactions, being involved with these two (maybe as a family) is hilarious... but it sort of works? Curious to see how his kids react.
Mia simply waltzing into a housing agency was pretty cool. Those scenes where people harass the flat were sad, particularly the one in which she is painting and humans are being annoying. It makes me sad because I want to say "it's a TV show" but you see people behaving like that in real life. I certainly wouldn't behave ridiculously like that and hope the people close to me wouldn't either (otherwise they better go away!).
It seemed like Laura and that guy would partner up in opposing everybody else at that table... Until they didn't. But Laura has a new idea - the Dryden Commission will meet Max and his Synths in hopes of achieving a new perspective. Not an ideal time, as it seems they are heading towards Agnes' wrath. Even though Laura is struggling just like the Synths and gasping at straws, I love how much her character has developed - remember when she was just at home at odds with the family and "Anita" in S1? Now she's Laura, defender of the Synths.
Leo and Mattie's part of the story feels like the weak one here, especially with SO many interesting things happening elsewhere. I'm also slightly confused at how "he's a human now."
Also, not a lot of Niska this time other than preparations as she heads into one of the mysteries of the season? I'm definitely intrigued.
I love the acting in the show.. but this season is to slow..we need more!
I used to really enjoy this show, but this season is just plain boring...LE: It gets better as you go on with it!
Agnes need to short-circuit soon, she'll only jeopardise synths in general. I guess she's this season's hateful bitch.
