This is still a great show. Perhaps trakt could come up with better cover image than a grainy expansion of a thumbnail.
I used to watch this all the time as a kid. Was a sucker for the wisecracking tough guy with a gorgeous female partner. Re-watching these episodes years later, it may seem a bit tacky and cheesy, but I'm surprised at all the themes and topics that went over my head. Definitely a bit edgy, risqué for its time. But the best description for Hunter is that it's a action and buddy comedy. A little serious here and there, but mostly action and jokes.
I like this show very much, so much so that I've watched it all twice in relatively recent years.
In the very early episodes it's all a bit 'A-Team' with OTT car crashes and explosions. Thankfully it does calm down a lot and the police-procedural side takes over. There are very few clunkers in the show's initial run and some (probably unintentional) funny ones. The last season is the weakest out of all of them and that's probably purely down to Stepfanie Kramer leaving the show.
