Hunters 2020

Sometimes slowly paced but once it picks up IT DOESN'T STOP. The final two episodes were FLAWLESS. Season 2 can't come soon enough.

I feel the need to comment. It seems most reviewers of this show are forgetting one thing - this is NOT a documentary. This is fiction based on a horrific period in our history. Yes, they took liberties with a couple of the stories about the concentration camps, but the rest is very true. And I don't think anyone really wants to see examples of the actual atrocities that were committed in a piece of entertainment. The show was done well. We felt for the main characters. Their anguish, their joy, their horror. The climax of the final episode invoked many emotions. And none of the reviews I've seen have said anything about Hitler still being alive at the end and the Colonel seems to be his wife Eva Braun.

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting this show to be a mess. It's not. It's enjoyable, interesting, and sometimes funny. I can see why some may hate it. It looks at things strictly through the eyes of minorities. That could be jarring for some but made for a unique experience so far. Watch it.

Just above average, solid 6.5 stars.

Total garbage. This embraces all of the worst tropes of the Holocaust and killed any potential it might have had by the second episode by turning itself into a comic book. David Weil clearly learned nothing of the holocaust from his grandparents who I'm sure are turning in their graves.

A cartoon of a TV show. The comic tone of the show doesn't so much undermine the toxic ideology of white supremacy as in Jojo Rabbit but instead provide a simple, comfortable, palatable bad guy. The comedy, however weak, provides a cover for ignoring the complexity of the evil it touches.

Crap. A weird mix of pseudo Nazi history, blaxploitation, some vulgar language and violence, nonsense.

Although, Logan's character got on my nerves in this show, he did manage to grow on me. Very shocking ending of season 1. Looking forward to season 2.

A disaster of script. Bad bad. The entire budget was spent on Al Pacino.

One of the worst finals. The Argentina cliche is so bad...

[Prime Video] An exercise in fictional politics that really doesn't know if it wants to be a thriller with touches of humor or if it prefers to take seriously the speculations around the survival of the main leaders. There is something ridiculous in the imagined presence of Hitler, but at least it serves to reflect on the capacity of Western countries to establish moral codes taking into account what has happened in international geopolitics in the last 70 years. But, like almost everything in this series, it seems that this historical rewrite does not quite fit into a story whose characters are more empty in Season 2 than in the previous one, especially Jonah's motivations and the unnecessary presence of Al Pacino.

This type of fiction used to be called rewriting history.
Young (mostly uneducated) people who watch it, get all their knowledge about those times from TV and the authors are well aware of that.
PS. The young and educated will not watch it, because they will be irritated by the lies and propaganda (this time Jewish). I got fed up when All started telling the story of the "holy" Jewish people persecuted since prehistory. One only has to read the Torah to know that the Chosen People had a million Gentiles on their conscience (in the times described therein). Which, of course, in no way excuses the Germans and other Nazis (NOT Fascists!) who, by the way, murdered more Eastern Europeans than Jews. In fact, some of the murdered were counted twice. Once as Jews and a second time as Poles/Russians.

A very well written show, full of twists, and some sort of yiddish (self)irony, where nothing is taken for granted, both the development of the story, and the characters themselves, never entirely good, never entirely bad. Yet, just when the last episode was expected to end the story with openings for an inevitable second season, with the final coup de theater we fall into the grotesque.

Another dumb avenger type of tv series, It’s hard to explain how they got Al Pacino to bee a part of this piece garbage.

Predictable since the beginning but funny...

I am still trying to understand why so many people are complaining about this show or it's story. Like I saw in another comment here, IT IT'S FICTION, not a documentary. There is lots of facts in the show about the WWII, but also new things and ways to tell it through the caracthers. For me, it's definetly a superb show and I loved seeing Al Pacino not in a movie as usual. Most of all, THE FUCKING LAST EPISODE!!! Amazing. Can't wait for the next season.

A show about hunting Nazi’s. Anything dealing with killing Nazi’s is always fun to watch...While it's good show, it's slow as shit. Paint dries faster than pacing of this show. This show would be better in 6 episode format. Maybe they hired people from Netflix to make this show. If you can't stand watching slow shows...I would highly recommend skipping this. There is about 10 minutes of actual things happening in each episode.

I actually really enjoyed this series.

Where is the 11th episode?

Season 2 is ok, lost the plot as not as coherent or tightly scripted with unseen twists etx as Season 1 was. S2 seems disjointed as the main team is now disbanded and there are plotholes that are barely discussed or solved but finding out that the show was cancellled as soon as S2 was greenlit the writers were pushed into a corner so understandable but also noticeable downgrade in quality of character arcs & storyline is obvious and rushed feel. Watch it just to finish the hunt for hitler arc or pretend S1 was the end either way is fine. I did not like jonas's long hair this season trying for french look. Will await Logan Lehman in next project as I think he & the nun character were great to watch.

About time....hope season 2 is worth the wait

Where is season Two? So many shows that say they are continuing but after a couple of years it looks unlikely unless covid delayed following seasons.

A bit of Tarentino style thrown in with some social justice critical race nonsense. Add some overexaggerated jewish accents and you got this show. It's different, could have been much better without the "white people are nazis" BS.

I just hope there will be no season 2, very dumb!

I'm watching a show about a squad of Nazi hunters and in two and half hours of runtime they interrogated one Nazi to death. Super fun, guys. Super fun. Not sure if they're trying to bore me to death, or are going after Nazis.

Josh Radnor, Logan Lerman and al Pacino... I really hope this is good

Probably dropping this one after two episodes, it's hard to commit to finishing it when there's other good stuff to watch. I don't find the subject matter offensive like some others and think Jojo Rabbit is proof you can mix comedy and dark history successfully. Maybe it's just the plot and lack of internal consistency that bothers me. Maybe it's the comic book style segments, but I've seen that done elsewhere in a way that worked.
