I Am Not Okay with This

Season 1

Well what to say... I am not a teenager but I am pretty sure genre speaking everything was there.
I have enjoyed it, it was funny, quirky and dark at the same time.
I can't wait for the second season and I hope there will be more episodes like 10 or 15 as they have so much more to develop.
in a way it was a genre between "Impulse" and "the end of the f**ing world", great show and great potential.

MY THOUGHTS ON SEASON 1:

-WARNING: Spoilers Below-

This season was meh, I watched it in one sitting and it was used as a "background show" whilst I played on my Nintendo Switch. Honestly, it wasn't bad but it wasn't.. good. I can't really complain about the season as a whole though but at the same time its nothing worth raving about.

Looking back on the season there were definitely moments that made me chuckle and moments that gripped me but as a whole the season was just okay, I'll definitely watch the second season when/if it's released but I don't see this show ever being memorable for me or a favourite. I think it'll always just be background noise as I'm focusing on games etc.

I'm interested to see the path they're going to take if they do make a second season and I wonder how Sydney will cope with her powers after she literally blew a guys head up and if they'll be any repercussions from it... The second season definitely has potential now I'm thinking about it.

Fingers crossed Season 2 is better!

What if the girl form IT with daddy issues, continue to have daddy issues but now with the same habilites of eleven but stuck inside the Breakfast club and being treated just like Carrie was. What would you get?
A small disappointment when compared to any of the previous, only saved by the talent story teller behind it and the expectation of dark turn on season 2.

i know there's a lot of comparison to carrie but i feel like the similarities to thelma (2017) are also uncanny
