SOPHIA decides to put SUM up at home, to which YEE is strongly opposed. Despite YEE’s objection, SOPHIA is not going to change her mind. YEE’s younger sister CHI-CHING is currently out of town, so SUM is advised to put up at her bedroom tentatively. YEE asks SHAN to take care of SUM alongside the rest of the tourists, while he himself will have to get disguised in shabby clothes before meeting the bankruptcy administrator. The bankruptcy administrator concerned is going on maternity leave very soon, and YEE’s case will be taken over by another official named SUNG WAI-CHIU. CHIU considers that YEE’s shabby appearance is so full of flaws that it cannot truly reflect his financial status. YEE runs into FEI again but the pair get trapped in the lift shortly afterwards. CHING forces the tourists to stay in a jewelry shop in an industrial district, but SUM just manages to get the holidaymakers out of the shop by stratagem.… ...
CHING throws a hard object at YEE, but it is SHAN who ends up being injured. CHING refuses to forgive YEE and goes off in a huff. SUM wonders how YEE has gone bankrupt, so SHAN points out what has happened to YEE and CHING over the years. SUM and SHAN proceed to discuss how to help CHING. SHAN believes that the only way out is to expose another big scandal in order to distract the public and the media. YEE comes to visit BING-BING and her son, both of whom are new immigrants from China. He offers to treat them to a free day trip around Hong Kong, but is thought by FEI to be trying to con them all over again. CHI-CHING returns home in the middle of the night and is shocked to see SUM resting inside her bedroom. CHI-CHING’s classmate NIP SIU-SIN inadvertently mentions the graduation ceremony, causing SOPHIA and YEE to probe for every single detail of the event.… ...
YEE and CHI-CHING have had a terrible quarrel and not been on speaking terms for quite a while. Having got fined all over again, and caused his cousins to fall out most violently, SUM finds himself extremely useless and decides to return to China. On his way home, SUM faces the prospect of being fined again, but he is lucky enough to have met FEI who manages to save him from the predicament. SUM is so impressed with FEI’s thoughtfulness and friendliness. MAN sees SUM off at the train station, where they happen to hear MUNG LO singing in public. SUM finds LO’s voice so beautiful that he is totally captivated. As a token of thanks to SUM for his generous help, LO agrees to give him singing lessons. Now that he has got a brilliant singing teacher, SUM decides to stay in Hong Kong. YEE discovers that SUM has peeped into CHI-CHING’s diary.… ...
LO encourages CHI-CHING to take part in the 18 District Amateur Singing Contest, which is due to resume soonish after decades of suspension. LO explains that only group entries are accepted in the contest and that she is more than willing to train SUM and his mates for the championship. YEE gives a street beggar some money but will need him to lend a sympathetic ear in return. Such a scene is fortuitously caught by FEI who passes by. YEE arrives at the community center to pick up SOPHIA, during which he runs into FEI again, who claims to have come up with a way to solve the misunderstanding between him and CHI-CHING. FEI points out that CHI-CHING is no longer a little girl and that YEE should not have interfered too much with her love life. KIT gets fined three times in a row upon his arrival in Hong Kong. Even worse than that, he is mistaken for a kidnapper by a group of locals.… ...
SUM supposes LO is only a fan of his mother, but KIT’s sudden appearance at LO’s residence has really taken him by surprise. SUM is desperate to stay in Hong Kong. He needs YEE to help convince KIT, or else he will disclose YEE’s secret to SOPHIA and CHI-CHING. LO gets a call from Uncle YIU-MING asking her to perform on a cruise liner. She is so happy about the job that she accepts the invitation right away. CHING is going to organize a “4D Sex & the Cushions Tour” for the mainlanders, and will need YEE to help purchase the movie tickets and get the special freebies for the upcoming lucky draw. SOPHIA suggests having dinner with CHI-CHING’s boyfriend at home, to which YEE does not have any objection. CHI-CHING is happy to see that YEE has kind of accepted her boyfriend. CHI-CHING invites CHIU to dinner at her place, but CHIU cannot make it as he is going to LADY GWA-GWA’s series of concerts over the coming few nights.… ...
SUM begins to doubt KIT’s word after their return to China. He is planning to go back to Hong Kong, but KIT claims to have withheld his travel documents to prevent him from fleeing. While waiting for CHI-CHING at the restaurant, CHIU runs into MONICA D again, who unexpectedly invites him to be her model in her next fashion show. Accompanied by CHING, CHI-CHING and SOPHIA, YEE goes to visit his parents’ grave. SOPHIA reiterates her desire to transfer the family mansion to YEE after his marriage to CHING. Inspired by the eerie atmosphere around YEE’s family mansion, SHAN proposes organizing a ghost hunting tour. To cut down expenses, CHING is going to hire a group of old people to dress up as ghosts. Judging from SOPHIA’s and BENJAMIN’s strange behavior, YEE and FEI can tell that they must have something to hide. To find out what is going on, they decide to stalk SOPHIA and BENJAMIN.… ...
YEE passes FEI his proposal for the Sichuan Tour, but FEI no longer needs his assistance and urges him to spend more time with CHING. YEE reveals to SHAN his plan to propose to CHING, and badgers him for some creative ideas for the proposal. But SHAN is most reluctant to help YEE and manages to break away with a lame excuse. Having returned from performing on the cruise liner, LO would like to invite SUM and his mates to come over for a singing class. LO who is unable to reach SUM decides to turn to CHI-CHING for help. Fearing that SUM is being detained by KIT, LO suggests traveling back to China to look for him. KIT confides in LO, and asks her to stop encouraging SUM to take part in the singing contest. SUM brings MAN, SIN and CHI-CHING to a foot massage parlor. While enjoying her foot massage, CHI-CHING gets a call from CHIU reminding her that he is making his catwalk debut later tonight.… ...
CHING has finally accepted YEE’s proposal, and YEE would like to have FEI and SHAN as the maid of honor and the best man. Knowing that SUM is unhappy about the suspected affair between KIT and LO, CHI-CHING offers him a few words of consolation. CHI-CHING and her mates have their singing lesson at LO’s residence, during which they manage to come up with a name and a cheering slogan for their singing group. When talking about the tour which FEI organizes for the Sichuan children, CHI-CHING and her mates volunteer to help out in whatever way they can. YEE takes the Sichuan children to DiDi Land. Shortly afterwards, CHIU arrives at the theme park and is shocked to discover that YEE is actually CHI-CHING’s biological brother. CHING has got a lot of surprises from YEE on her previous birthdays, but this year she is left all alone in the office all through the day.… ...
As a token of thanks to YEE and all other volunteers for taking care of the Sichuan children, FEI holds a post-event party at the community center. SOPHIA gets to meet LO during the party. She wonders if they have met before as LO’s face looks very familiar to her. Accompanied by YEE, CHING goes to the bridal store to try on wedding gowns, although she is not really in the mood and even throws up from time to time. CHI-CHING goes on a date with CHIU, during which she asks him to help design a wedding gown for CHING as requested by YEE. CHIU learns from CHI-CHING that YEE has bought quite a lot of stuff during his bankruptcy. FEI and MONICA D are working together on a charity project, but they are so different in personality that they keep arguing all through the meeting. After hours of bickering, MONICA D finally loses her patience and refuses to provide any costume for the event.… ...
YEE’s bankruptcy is finally over. To celebrate this, he goes shopping and treats his family to a great dinner. KIT would like to hold a grand wedding reception for YEE, which however is not supported by CHING. FEI pays CHING a visit, during which she expresses worry about SOPHIA’s possible reaction to the affair between CHING and SHAN. YEE goes to CHING’s place for dinner, in the middle of which a fire suddenly breaks out. During the evacuation, CHING trips and falls down the staircase. CHI-CHING asks CHIU out for a chat, during which CHIU gets questioned by SIN and MAN about the sex scandal between him and MONICA D. CHIU blames CHI-CHING for having no trust in him. KIT comes to LO’s residence to check if she is treating SUM well. CHI-CHING goes to see CHIU at his office. It is not until then that she comes to discover that CHIU has already resigned and that YEE had been bankrupt for quite some years.… ...
FEI goes to CHING’s place and is shocked to see that she has already packed up her belongings. Before her departure, CHING takes out a letter and asks FEI to pass it to YEE. Having read CHING’s letter, YEE gets totally heartbroken. He is desperate to find out what is happening but is unable to reach CHING. Not wanting to worry his family, he decides to hide the ordeal from them. Knowing that they have made it to the second round of the competition, members of OH BABY are completely overjoyed. SIN and MAN lead CHI-CHING into a room and ask her how she is getting on with CHIU. To prove her love for CHIU, MONICA D has had his name tattooed on her back. SHAN has finally located CHING, but CHING is most reluctant to see him. She keeps urging SHAN to stay away, and in the confusion, she loses her balance and falls over.… ...
YEE seems to have lost everything all of a sudden. But not wanting to worry his family, he acts as if nothing has happened at all and goes to work as usual the following day. SUM goes to see CHIU, rebuking him for sending CHI-CHING an intimate photo of MONICA D and himself. Surprised by SUM’s overriding concern for CHI-CHING, CHIU wonders if he is in love with her. Fearing that YEE will be unable to settle the bills, the hotel staff keep bombarding him with calls. YEE is so devastated that he refuses to take the calls and means to drink himself into oblivion in the office. FEI manages to locate YEE and offers to accompany him back to his place. Despite her official break-up with CHIU, CHI-CHING cannot take the man off her mind and even starts stalking him. SUM sympathizes with CHI-CHING and is kind enough to give her a few words of consolation.… ...
OH BABY manage to get through to the final, following which a small party is held at YEE’s place to celebrate their huge success. LO asks CHI-CHING to come over for a chat, through whom she hopes to learn more about SUM. Suddenly there comes a clap of thunder, after which LO starts humming a Chinese nursery rhyme. Her strange behavior has really taken CHI-CHING by surprise. SOPHIA is shocked to learn that LO is actually SUM’s biological mother. She blames LO for abandoning SUM at such an early age. In response to the accusation, LO points out that it was KIT who had taken SUM away. YEE and FEI go to visit a new immigrant called Madam SHUN, during which her son HONG is trying to commit suicide because of a relationship break-up. YEE tries to comfort HONG by sharing his own experience. MEI makes a confession of love to FEI again, which she finds so annoying.… ...
SOPHIA and BENJAMIN try to match FEI up with YEE, but the young pair are just smart enough to see through their plan. SOPHIA urges YEE to walk FEI home. YEE and FEI catch a taxi to Sham Shui Po but the taxi driver ends up taking them to Kowloon Peak instead. The taxi driver is actually a robber. YEE and FEI get robbed of all their possessions and tied to a pillar for a whole night. LO gets insulted during her performance in mainland China. KIT who is keen to save her from the predicament has irked the nightclub customers. Not wanting to get into trouble, KIT and LO flee from the place at once hand in hand. KIT is not feeling well, so LO takes him to hospital for a check-up. Later KIT is found to have a few cysts in his liver. SUM asks MAN and SIN about CHI-CHING’s past romances. Judging from his strange behavior, MAN believes that he has fallen in love with CHI-CHING.… ...
Uncle CHAN who lives in the highlands treats FEI, YEE and MEI to a lunch meal. To show their sincerity, MEI and YEE try to gobble up as much spicy food as they can, as a result of which, both of them suffer a sudden attack of diarrhea. SUM and his mates overhear the conversation between MARY and her students KIMCHI, during which MARY refers to OH BABY as KIMCHI’s biggest rival. OH BABY are surprised to see MARY having lunch with LO’s landlord inside a restaurant. Fearing that MARY would hurt LO one way or another, OH BABY have held the landlord for questioning. OH BABY go next door to see LO’s friend SIU-HUNG, from whom they manage to find out about LO’s past. YEE and FEI are shocked to see a little girl hanging outside a building with her head bizarrely stuck in a drying rack. Without a second of hesitation, YEE offers to join the rescue. SHAN’s boss KA BIU is going to engage in the sale of fake health food.… ...
LO apologizes to SUM, but SUM is so angry with his parents that he refuses to forgive them. CHI-CHING has finally located SUM. She manages to convince SUM to accept LO, and later the pair even visit LO together. The footage of YEE trying to rescue the little girl spreads across the Internet and YEE, whose identity is still unknown among the netizens, is hailed as The People’s Hero. The truth is finally out and YEE is appointed as the Tourism Ambassador. SHAN finds a magazine inside CHING’s handbag, whose cover features a large portrait of YEE. Consumed with jealousy, SHAN asks CHING if she is regretting the break-up with YEE. CHIU becomes unemployed after his break-up with MONICA D. Having bought too many luxurious clothes and accessories, CHIU is becoming overdrawn. With no better alternatives, he finally decides to turn to his former boss for a job opportunity. SUM gives KIT a call but is unable to reach him.… ...
BIU has re-packaged the expired saline for sale, about which SHAN expresses worry. But BIU is not going to change his mind and tells SHAN to shut up. KIT is to undergo surgery on the same day as the final of the singing contest. OH BABY are gearing up for the competition while LO is staying with KIT in the hospital. Looking down from the stage, SUM can tell from SOPHIA’s expression that KIT’s surgery has gone wrong in some way. Accompanied by YEE, SOPHIA and the rest of OH BABY, SUM rushes to the hospital to see KIT. YEE and FEI are surprised to see SUM and CHI-CHING chatting so intimately in a dessert shop. YEE offers CHIU a job at his travel agency and sets out an income allocation framework for him. While YEE is proposing to FEI, SHAN suddenly pops up with a surreptitious photo of YEE and CHING. SHAN rebukes YEE for messing around with CHING.… ...
DAN and SZE have finished their trip in Hong Kong. Now that his secret mission has been accomplished, YEE decides to treat his family and mates to a celebration dinner. CHIU offers his resignation all of a sudden, and everyone is curious about who has been trying to cause YEE trouble. Later they learn from the TV news report that SHAN is being pursued by the police. YEE gets an anonymous call informing him that CHING has been sent to hospital. Judging from the voice and tone, YEE can tell at once that it is SHAN who is calling. CHIU refuses to leave after the dinner, and YEE deduces that he is trying to patch up his relationship with CHI-CHING. Knowing that SUM is in a bad mood, YEE gives him a few words of consolation and reminds him that he has to have trust in CHI-CHING. While in the company of YEE, CHING suddenly gets a call from SHAN saying that he is about to flee from Hong Kong.… ...
YEE doubts if SUM and FEI have really been taken by the kidnappers. In response to YEE’s query, BIU claims to have sent him some evidence. SHAN grabs the chance to call CHING, but has accidentally revealed that he is one of the kidnappers during the phone conversation. Having recognized one of the kidnappers as SHAN, FEI tries to convince him to record a video of SUM and herself so that their families know that they are still safe and sound. CHI-CHING and YEE have found CHING’s mobile phone, and thus the video of SUM and FEI. YEE and KIT go to pay the ransom, but get teased by the kidnappers all through the process. YEE mistakes BIU’s henchman for SHAN, making BIU believe that SHAN has already exposed their identities. FEI manages to convince SHAN to release her and SUM, but just as they are about to leave, BIU and his henchmen return. The kidnappers and the hostages are about to open fire on one another.… ...
