Ummm, at the moment I like it enough to see another
I cannot say the show was attention keeping. The lead male was wearing so much makeup he might as well have been a cartoon character. I wouldn't recommend the show
Alan Cumming is so compelling in this show! I was a little hesitant about the concept of the show, with him being ex-CIA and also a psych professor as well. However, it was really fun to watch and very interesting in its conception of mysteries and things. It's in competition against Deception, another crime drama featuring a non cop partnering with a cop to solve crimes. Already, I find that Instinct is much more interesting, fun and compelling than Deception.

It made me think about Perception. The professor who helps a cop with his psycho knowledge. And the professor is of course a bit of a psycho himself (maybe less here than in Perception).
It was still fun to watch. Maybe because I think the actor’s skills and the direction is way above Perception.
I just hope the writers can come up with interesting and good paced cases for each and every episodes. Otherwise it will become just another show about a “cop with a civilian partner” who solve the same type of boring and expected case.
