[7.1/10] Solid start to the new season. Roxy was a heck of a performance, and contrasting the Julia Roberts image from Pretty Woman with Roxy’s confident crassness was a fun meta-gag from the start. Watching her and Dee pal around, and bringing back the obviously-fake Donovan McNabb as “Tiger Woods” was a nice place to take things.
I wasn’t big on the “Charlie tries to get Frank a date” bit until we got to the projectile blood vomiting, which is a weird sentence to write, but here we are. There’s just something about a Three’s Company-esque comic scheme being interrupted by such a bizarre, gross out turn of events that tickles my funny bone from the absurdity and strangeness of the whole thing.
And before I’d started watching IASIP, I’m pretty sure I remember reading about Mac intentionally getting fat for the comedy of it. It’s amusing to see him carrying around a garbage bag full of chimichangas and becoming a low-grade guru of hedonism. Plus, seeing Dennis have a Jeff Winger-esque moment of thinking he’s the picture of health but is actually mortal like the rest of us is amusing.
Last but not least, the gang dragging a dead hooker out into the hallway while Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman” plays is a darkly funny moment of comic dissonance.
Overall, a new out there place to take the show as it hits Season 7.
"Can I offer you like a nice egg in this trying time?" :joy:
Even as their budget has grown, I'm glad to see the show has not lost its elevated sensibility
Jeez ..Mac better cut out the big Macs.

That limousine ride is gonna haunt me for weeks...
And that ending, just lovely! This was my first time watching this episode and it already became one of my favourites. Ludicrous stuff, in the true, genuine It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia style!
