Love it!!! Always making me laugh and smile! And then there's moments that almost break my heart.

The perfect dramedy! It’s a really cute show that also involves murder, lies and deception, so your emotions are very up and down throughout the whole thing. It’s a show that I feel like everyone would like, no matter who you are. My dad even liked it and this is not his type of show. But be prepared to be torn about who you want her to end up with, because I really couldn’t decide and it was tiring to try and root for both of them.
The story is average, except for the MC. Jane is so weird and unfunny, I mean the character not the actress. I cannot relate to the MC at all. Most of the characters are one dimensional. There are 5 Characters that are atleast relatable in the series; Petra(Quirky but broken), Luisa, The twins (Elsa, Anna), Mateo and the narrator(probably Mateo). The unrealistic nature of the story is bearable, making villains so dumb gets annoying very quickly. I do know some of the comedic stuff are for the satire, but most of them are overused. After the virginity part, it is clear that the plot loses the direction to go forward. I want to like the series, But after season 2 I could not wait for the series to be over.

The best show to begin on the CW, it's more than a guilty pleasure show, as witty as it is heartbreaking.
This show is my guilty pleasure! Love the cheesy, melodramatic, totally unbelievable storylines. The acting is brilliant and the narrater hilarious.
This was a LOT better than I expected it to be. I'll definitely keep tuning in.
Really bad lol. It tries to be a smart interpretation of Latin Telenovelas for westerners, instead is a mix of all the tropes without a logic or purpose.

One of the warmest, sweetest shows ever made, Jane the Virgin did creative things with visual storytelling while always remembering the heart of the series, the strong bonds between Jane, her mother, and her grandmother. Men (and my favorite character Petra) came in and out of their lives but at its bones this was a show about a strong female-centered family who overcame insane obstacles and always loved each other.
It was a very good series that I will remember for a long time. I got attached to many characters, they performed really well. There were annoying moments, but I think that overall it was a great TV series.
Loved the series. Would put it on the same lines as Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Glee and Crazy ex-gf. Felt a bit incomplete and made me feel hollow at the end. It's so weird that I could relate to a Venezuelan-American household so much when I am nowhere close to being one. It did get tiring at times but couldn't stop watching the show. I personally preferred the later seasons. Acting performances of the girls were so much better than the guys and that's a fact. Honestly believe Brett and Justin's acting performance could have been so much better. I like didn't feel the connection of either of the guys with Jane. Neither did I feel like the chemistry between Petra and Jr. , Alba and Jorge, or Xo and Ro. I mean their chemistry was not like that of Klaine or Brittana. But that made the show much more grounded. I loved all the little details and technical effects in the show. Great subversion of narratives! Would be too exhausting to watch the whole show all over again but I may try to do so.

I don't why I am so into this show but I am. It's always a good choice to binge watch after a tense show. Light and uncomplicated.
i was fooled by the imdb ratings. the story is suposed to be silly, but ... there are shows with silly stories that work. this one doenst.
cant really enjoy the main character, and when that happens it´s one step closer to giving up a show. besides that, 2 episodes didn't brought a single laughter .

I'm really trying to like this show...but it's not happening. I will painfully try and finish watching the season, but this story is just silly and unrealistic.
The most underrated show ever! This series is so amazing I cannot even begin to explain how freaking hilarious, inclusive, woke, sad, and overall brilliant it is. Not only does it make you laugh and cry (you're gonna need a few tissues every few episodes), it teaches us so many important lessons about relationships, money, health, family, love and politics- in such a subtle and awesome way. Highly recommend!!
At first I didn't know what to think. I couldn't make up my mind about the casting of the main character Jane and I didn't know if I liked the style of the show. But now, I doesn't matter anymore because I can't stop watching! It's addictive, like a soap (or a tellenovela ;-). And Rafael every episode in... out... or in a wet shirt is just candy for my eyesssss <3 Guilty easy TV pleasure.

This show was so funny. There were some sad parts but I’m glad everyone had a happy ending.
Gina blossoms as Jane, in her breakthrough role. 100 episodes later, I am left bawling to what was at first glance a comical guilty pleasure - but turned into so much more. This show touches on every subject; immigration, family, inclusivity, LOVE and joy. Different from other romantic comedy shows it pays a wonderful homage to telenovelas. Through the crazy twists and absurd turns - it never lost me. Thankful for this show and the bit of magic it brings to your screen.
Will probably re-watch!

Coming from The CW, it's actually a bit of a gem. Sure, the story is a bit fantastically and way too coincidental, but so far (granted I'm only two episodes in) the quirky narrator is entertaining and the actress who plays Jane is charming.
