great beautiful anime! the depth of emotions in this was amazing!!
One of my favorites animes, from the characters to the sick ass theme song.
The only thing that I didn't like was the CGI, the rest was awesome.
Haha I'm suposed to wake up in less than six hours and instead I'm watching this... Hell yeah it's work it this anime so far has completly passed the 3 episode test :D
I put off finishing the last couple episodes for a while because I didn’t want it to end. This anime is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster, with some life lessons, and and overall theme of what it means to be human. Absolutely worth the watch.
I'm not familiar with the manga - but loved the premise of this (especially as a 58 year old man myself!). It wasn't entirely original, but it was entertaining.
But the production values did let it down a little, along with way too much crying, wailing, moaning.
Notwithstanding this, Last Hero was a great binge watch, and you should definitely add it to your watch list! Lets' hope we see a Series 2 at some point...

Good anime adaptation for the manga written by Gantz creator Hiroya Oku. Clearly influenced by other great shows including Death Note, Parasyte: The Maxim, or even Oku's Gantz. The generation gap, critique of the social media are recurring themes. The 2 main characters are interesting, Hiro has a personality more complex than meets the eye. Good use of CGI, especially in the fighting scenes, the OP song is really well chosen. BANG!
