Overall, not terribly funny. The opening news? Eh, maybe there's something wrong with me but I just don't find sex scandals funny. Nor poking fun at an elderly woman's hats, no matter what throne she may sit upon.

High point of the episode was seeing Lionel from Person of Interest in the sketch at the end of the main story. And John refusing to let go of that wooden penis sculpture, haha.

Pretty hilarious episode. From the opening news roundup about the Michigan state senators' affairs that was hilarious in and of itself, to the jokes about Guatemala's disdain for its presidential candidates, to the amusing coverage of the Queen's becoming the longest reigning monarch, to the closure of the Church of Perpetual Exemption, there were many laughs to be had.

I still laughed a great deal at the main segment on Public Defenders, but as is often the case where Oliver is covering a topic I know a little something about, I got mildly frustrated at the complexities of the situation that Oliver inevitably has to gloss over in the confines of covering these things in a half hour. Still, it was nice to see Kima from The Wire at the end.
