Oliver himself maintains that bashing Trump is easy, but what he did with fervor, in a remarkably thinking way, was to delve into how Trump does not think, where he gets information from, and what he does with it. Very Chomsky.
I've missed this show so much. What a good start to a new season!

7.2/10. Talking about Trump's propensity to lie is nothing new (something Oliver acknowledges), but approaching it in a systematic way, and particularly looking at where Trump gets his information from, is a solid tack to take. I'll admit, this one didn't really blow me away just because it covers territory that many shows, including this one, have covered before, but as usual, LWT tackles these things in interesting ways that makes them engaging if not exactly novel. And hey, the "And Now" segment on Trump's inability to do a handshake (replete with amusing sound effects) was great.
I used to like this show, season 1 was really nice but the constant bashing of Trump really annoys me now, I'm not sure I'm going to watch this for long. I hope he diversifies a bit more but I'm afraid that's not going to happen.
Also feels like there's too much episodes in a season, takes a toll on the overall quality of episodes. Anyway, we'll see.
Finally, a voice of reason worth listening to.
