[7.0/10] Solid episode. The opening roundup had a decent frame through Oliver's note that Republican lawmakers wouldn't call out Trump by name, but it's a pretty standard take on an (admittedly) insane thing. The interstitial segment about local newscasters talking about look at the sun was cute enough.

The main story, on nuclear waste, was solid as well. There's a bit of scaremongering going on, but I like the idea that we've had a plan in place and just been unable to implement it. Frankly, I wish Oliver had gotten a little more into the NIMBY issues and other reasons why a plan hasn't come to fruition yet. And the sillier parts, like the psycho American Girl doll and the rubiks cube were good fun. Last but not least, the "quotes from the Martin Shkrelli jury selection" segment was a buzzfeed article come to life.

Overall, not a bad episode, but not up to the show's usual standards.
