The musician presents a diverse mix of performances, with guests including Pearl Jam, who will be showcasing tracks from their seventh album. Leeds singer Corinne Bailey Rae also appears, along with Liverpool band the Zutons and Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx.

Jools is joined by Richard Ashcroft, plus classics from Creedence Clearwater's John Fogerty, Hasidic hip-hop from Matisyahu, We are Scientists, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Camille.

Franz Ferdinand play tracks from their latest album You Could Have It So Much Better. Newcomers Gnarls Barkley perform songs from their debut record St Elsewhere, featuring the smash hit Crazy. Also taking to the stage are alternative band Snow Patrol and singer-songwriter Martha Wainwrigh.

Jools welcomes David Gilmour, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday with the release of his first album since 1994 Pink Floyd release Division Bell. He is joined by Sixties legends David Crosby and Graham Nash who contribute harmonies on the title track On an Island. Also appearing on stage are Mike Skinner of the Streets, Brazilian musician Nacao Zumbi and singer-songwriter Elvis Costello.

Jools welcomes former Smiths frontman Morrissey, who discusses his achievements and showcases songs from his latest album Ringleader of the Tormentors. Contemporary pop group Hot Chip also perform their unique brand of soulful and experimental music, and talk about their successes over the past few years. Plus, the Libertines' co-founder Carl Barat presents his new band Dirty Pretty Things.

Primal Scream sing numbers including their latest single Country Girl, and Ray Davies showcases tracks from his new album Other People's Lives. Jools offers American singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash a welcome break from her tour to sing hits from her recent release Black Cadillac, while Sweden's Jose Gonzalez, UK soul star Omar and Leicestershire band the Young Knives complete the line-u

Keane return from their tour of Europe to perform numbers from their latest release Under the Iron Sea, including Is It Any Wonder?, while New York band Gogol Bordello play their unique brand of Gypsy punk. American country music trio the Dixie Chicks, cultish piano specialists Dresden Dolls, and Scottish newcomers the Fratellis also take to the stage to sing tracks from their most recent albums.

Jools is joined by The Strokes, The Flaming Lips, The Divine Comedy, Cat Power, Plan B and Raul Midon.
