This fast-paced action-adventure series follows symbologist Ashley Cowie as he travels the world in search of some of history's greatest and most mysterious artifacts. From King Arthur's famous sword to the Lost Ark of the Covenant, all of the elusive items are believed to hold hidden powers and mystical significance for ancient and modern cultures.
Each of the six episodes will include Indiana Jones-type adventure and Da Vinci Code-style puzzle solving as the secreted truths and alternative theories of these mythical relics are explored. Cowie and his team leave no stone unturned as they hack through dense jungles, squeeze through tiny caves and trek through forbidding deserts to find their next clue. Their expeditions will reveal secrets that have been guarded for centuries and are still being protected today.
Ashley and the team travel to Ethiopia, Italy and France in search of the famous Ark of the Covenant, believed to have the power to defeat any army and strike enemies with bolts of lightening. They then travel to Mexico in search of the legendary Talking Cross, which the Mayans believed gave them the power to speak directly to the gods, protect them from their enemies and grant wishes
The team searches for the most famous sword in the world, King Arthur's Excalibur. Later, they seek a stone out of Hindu and Buddhist legend which is said to be able to grant wishes to those who possess it.
The team seek out a powerful spear in Europe which is reputed to have been used at Jesus' Crucufixion. Later, they travel to Peru to look into legends of a gold disc which can allegedly stop time.
Ian and his team search for clues about the staff of Moses in Israel. Next, they attempt to discover the true location of the Stone of Destiny in Scotland.
Ashley and his team search the UK for treasures said to have been hidden away by the sorceror Merlin. Later, they attempt to find the magical signet ring of King Solomon, which is said to give its wearer the ability to command the djinn and to understand the speech of animals.
