Really enjoying this so far. Excited to see where this show will go. Clayne Crawford's character is great and I really enjoyed watching him. The beginning went from 0 - 100 real quick and I was like. woah there.
though this one was going to be a failure but its actually a nice pilot =)
I had really low expectations towards this show because most of the times these remakes of classics into TV Shows are not good. This was a pleasant surprise because it was casted perfectly, specially Clayne Crawford as Riggs. The chemistry between the cast is also perfect, and I love that Trish is not a stay at home mom and has her own career.
Good amount of drama, action and comedy.
First rewatch in 5+ years. Forgot how much I loved this show! Riggs is the greatest <3

Rewatching the first 2 seasons. It was such a fun show. Sucks Wayans killed it by deciding he was too old for an action series after being cast.
As well as getting Clayne Crawford fired. When he probably should have just left the show himself before season 3.
Since while filming season 3. Wayans, like I mentioned decided he was too old to continue. He also demanded they’d film the whole season before a certain date. Or he’d be gone before they even finished the whole season.
I miss the show but when Clayne was on it. Riggs being killed off just isn’t Lethal Weapon.

The main problem with this series, is the editing. The thematic and emotional jumps that come out of nowhere. It's a mess, despite a good chemistry between the leads and the excellent acting from Clayne Crawford. What I like the most is that instead of channeling Gibson, he made his own character tick. The weak parts of his acting are sadly when he tries to incorporate the film's canon. Every time he goes for those moments, the character feels cheap. He shines when he delivers his sincere southern charisma. They need to get rid of the shadow of the movies, and depart from them. As far as possible, so this series gets its own voice. Then again, this is Fox, and it'll get cancelled after one season, anyway.

Clayne Crawford is perfect as Riggs and the show is fun even if it wasn't totally necessary. Crawford and Damon Wayans also have some good chemistry. Lethal Weapon has some pretty great action for a tv show as well.
I liked Rush Hour and it was a guilty pleasure of mine. Lethal Weapon has more going for it though. Since there's some heart felt drama as well.
