Comedian Louie Anderson tells a story of one Christmas when he was a kid, growing up in Wisconsin, and how he and his dad brought Christmas cheer to a woman who appeared to have none.
Louie's dad gets fired so the entire family tries to think of ways to save money until he can get back on his feet. Meanwhile, summer vacation has started and Louie is looking forward to three months of swimming and freedom...until his Dad, starved for things to keep himself busy, decides that Louie is going to help him do every fix-it job around the house.
The Andersons get new neighbors, the Johnsons, and Andy immediately starts fighting with Mr. Johnson. Meanwhile, the town of Cedar Knolls gets flooded due to severe rainstorms and the only house that isn't flooded is the Anderson's--thanks to a ten-foot wall that Andy constructed to keep the Johnson's dog out of his yard. Eventually the entire neightborhood seeks refuge in the Anderson home, much to Andy's dismay.
The Andersons go on vacation to Lake Winnibigoshish, WI.
Louie gets a fish named Pepper, because his family is too poor to get a dog.
Louie makes a deal with his Dad to get out of his much-hated gym class if he agrees to play little league baseball. Much to Louie's dismay and bad luck, his baseball coach ends up being his tyranical gym teacher. After the coach is hit in the head by Louie's bat during a game Louie's dad Andy steps in as the coach and whips the team into shape in true military fashion--literally. While Andy is teaching the team battle strategies, Louie's mom teaches them actually baseball tips and tricks on the side. Of course in the end, Louie's team ends up in the big championship game and the team's newfound skills are put to the test.
When Ora and Andy leave to go and visit Ora's sick mother, Louie and Tommy are left home alone to fend for themselves during a blizzard.
Louie finds out that he is allergic to certain grains, and is rushed to the hospital.
Louie, upset with being cast as the Turkey every year, single-handedly ruins the annual Cedar Knolls Elementary Thanksgiving Pageant. The principal decides that as punishment Louie needs to give a presentation on the meaning of Thanksgiving the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Louie tries to figure out the meaning of the holiday while his house is flooded with guests for Thanksgiving dinner, each of whom have their own unique interpretation of the holiday.
Louie is going to woods with father and his friends to catch deers.But one deer follows Louie and Louie makes a new friend,deer.When they go home late at night,deer follows them.Next day,they find out that deer is in their house.It is hrad for Andy,but he decides to keep deer.But,after deer finds out that he can't sleep anywhere he goes away...
The winter carnival begins in Cedar Knoll and The Anderson family loses every competition they enter. Meanwhile, Louie develops a crush on Jeannie's sister and tries to learn how to skate to get close to her.
The Anderson family goes to a fair where Aura tries to win the best cooking contest, and Andy wins a pig. Meanwhile, Tommy gets upset because Louie always takes him to the childish fair rides.
Andy's car got broke,and he is very sad.Since it's his birthday,Ora decides to collect money with Louie and Tommy to buy Andy a new car.When they buy it,Andy is surprised but not happy.So,he returns the car and tries to fix the old one.He can't,so Louie calls a mechanic to fix it due the night.Car is fixed,but Andy knows that mechanic came to fix the car.

Louie gets a summer job as a caddy at a local golf course to save money for a bicycle bell.
Louie tries to escape from Glen Glenn, so he joins the trip to Chakami camp. The bad news: Glen Glenn also joins. While on a trip, Louie and Glen Glenn get lost inside a forest.
Earl Grunewald is promoted to be a main worker of the tractor factory. While the Grunewald family goes for a ski trip, Louie pretends to be a ski master, so the Anderson family also joins.
A tornado attacks the Cedar Knoll and Louie gets afraid of the tornado, so he stays in his room and doesn't want to leave until the cow, which was trapped on a tree because of the tornado, confronts him.
Louie's class must give a speech and if someone wins, the class will go to Washington. Louie buys a speech from Glen Glenn and he wins. Andy accompanies the trip because he was in a war with the president. After Andy tells Louie he must always tell the truth, Louie tells the truth about the speech.
New kid comes to school,and his name is Sean.It appears Jeannie likes him very much.Louie doesn't like that so he wants to know how could he have Jeannie.So,he asks his mother and father for help.Mum tells him a story how did she met Andy,but Andy tells completely different version of the story.After that,Louie tries to play tuba in the school to impress Jeannie.The only problem is he plays awful.At the end,Louie hits Jeannie's window with the snowball,and Jeannie opens it.He plays the song in the middle of the night just to her.
Aura gets a call from the doctor, telling her she's going to have a baby. Louie thinks if the baby is born, someone will leave the family and he thinks it might be him. It is revealed in the end that the doctor made a mistake and she's not pregnant.
For his vacation science homework, Louie has to give a detailed report on honey bees. He ends up enlisting the help of his father on this project, but Andy ends up taking over the care and observation of the bees and develops a special kinship with the bees. Louie tries to figure out how he is going to give a presentation on the bees when he can't get anywhere near them with his father in the picture.
Little Louie's never met a job he didn't like, but he does (eventually) get his household tasks done. Yet, he may have taken on a task that's more than he can handle when he tries to help down-and-out friend of the family get back on his feet. It's a single act of kindness - but it's doubled his chores!
When little Louie discovers he has a real talent for the game of chess, he tries to hide his identity at the big all-school chess tourney by becoming The Masked Chess Boy. (But even a mask can't hide his enthusiasm for scarfing down donuts!) Share the fun as Louie inspires his pals to reach for their dreams without worrying what other kids say.
Mrs.Glenn must go to hospital,because she got sick,bit suddenly the neighbours start to act strangely.Even her son is nice to Louie.Then Louie finds out if everyone can hear her voice,they will be normal again.So they give a party,for Mrs.Glenn's operation.When she felt better,she was home again,and the neighbourhood is normal...again.
Louie meets famous comedian Kazoo.Kazoo came to town,to see his mother Ora.He wants Louie to come and watch his show with his mother.Well,Louie wants it,but his mother doesn't.After the show,Louie decides to become a comedian.So,he asks Kazoo to help him.Louie is very good,and he is even going to stand and laugh people on audition.But,when he finds out,that being comedain has some thing to do with insulting people.
For Louie's birthday, his grandma gives Louie a sweater which she made for him. While trying to write the thank you letter, Louie decides to instead play with his friends. When he finally writes the letter, he finds out his grandma has died.
A new movie theater opens and Louie goes all the time, so Andy and Aura become worried. They decide to give him a movie camera, and he decides to shoot a movie.
It's election day.There are three candidates,Melvin,Toddler and Mike.Louie is Mike's campaign manager.But,he doesn't know what to do now.So he asks his his parents for help.While he is lookinf for help,Andy is bowling with his friends.He tells Louie that he isn't loser because Andersons often lose,he tells him that he's a winner.Mike's idea is that they mustn't eat lima beans for lunch in cafeteria,while Toodler's idea is that reces must be longer.Anyway,Melvin wins so neither Toodler gets anything,neither Mike.
It's Military Reunion,and teacher of history wants from kids to write their report about thair parents when they were in war.Louie is so happy,beacuse dad will be so proud of him when he tells him all the story about the war.When he tells him,Louie writes a lot of notebooks about Andy in war.When he reads it at school,everybody is impressed,but Melvin proves that's impossible.So,Louie actually finds out that that story isn't correct.For the finale,Military Reunion is opened,but the fire starts to burn on the ship,and Andy saves the ship.Other military men recognize him and Louie finds out the real story about his father.
Louie and his father attend a football game between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.
Louie's teacher is sick,so new teacher arrives,Mrs.Robertson.She is very pretty and every boy falls in love with her.To get her for himself,Louie starts to read books like Romeo and Juliet.Now he knows everything about that and Mrs.Robertson starts to like him very much.But when Andy finds about that,he goes to the principal to tell her she must fire the new teacher.But he actually finds out that she also knows much about wars.So,he helps her.and she is now hired at the Military Academy.
While shopping, Louie ends up stealing candy, so he tries to get rid of it during Halloween.
The Anderson family decides to go to the Sniffer land.But it is very far.On their way,they were in danger,they had a lot of fun.They traveled by train,but it broke,then they travel by plane,by bus,by ballon...But the most exciting part was when Louie fell in the water and snake almost bite him!When they manage to Sniffer land,it was closed.But that doesn't matter,because Louie actually had the most exciting vacation of all kids in the town.
Louie and Mike create a spaceship which causes Andy to be declared ambassador of the Earth.
Louie must play the prince for the school performance about Sleeping Beauty. Meanwhile, Andy replaces his boss. Louie gets his first kiss.
It's time for family picture,so Anderson family decides so.They will take a family picture,well,the only problem is: Louie and Tommy don't want to participate,they don't want to take family picture.
Louie wants to have a dog much to Andy's chagrin. Louie takes a dog that has been trained to be a guide for the blind.
Louie feels he's good at basketball and Andy tries to be in support him. Aura decides to eat healthy food.
Ora gets very sick and no one can help her around the house because she always does the most hard jobs at home.So,Louie must help her around the house.But if he does that,he will have no time to get a present for his mother because it's Mother's day.
