Poong Sang's father passes away and a funeral gets held. However, unlike other funeral halls where people cry and mourn for the dead, there are hardly any visitors. The ones who do show up at the funeral only give Poong Sang a headache.

Poong Sang is greatly disappointed by his siblings who won't properly mourn for their father. Even when everyone else has left, Poong Sang keeps his place and stays for his father's funeral. When he sees that his mother came to the funeral, he becomes furious.

Boon Sil becomes even more frustrated when Poong Sang won't even get mad at his siblings. When Joong Yi comes home after doing bad on her test, she decides to take action. She gathers the siblings and makes a huge announcement.

Jeong Sang delivers the bad news to Young Pil who was waiting for the groom to show up. Young Pil gets in an accident while driving furiously, and Wae Sang keeps Young Pil company while waiting for a tow truck. Meanwhile, the siblings are up to no good.

Boon Sil leaves the house to take care of her dad. With nobody to take care of things around the house, Poong Sang tells Hwa Sang to cook for the time being, but Hwa Sang gets upset, asking her brother why he treats his sisters differently. Out of spite, Hwa Sang meets up with Ji Ham's wife.

When Poong Sang scolds Joong Yi for smoking, she lashes out at him. Poong Sang doesn't know how to deal with her and asks Jeong Sang for help. Meanwhile, Jin Sang is waiting for the rich madam who promised him a handsome amount of money.

Hwa Sang moves out of the house, and Poong Sang can't help but worry. Jeong Sang begs Hwa Sang to not tell Poong Sang about what she knows, but she won't listen. Jeong Sang decides to protect her pride and ends things with Ji Ham.

Poong Sang begs Ji Ham's wife to go easy on Jeong Sang, but he soon realizes that things can't be undone now. He gets mad at Hwa Sang for ruining her sister's life and tells her that he doesn't want to see her ever again. Meanwhile, Wae Sang and Young Pil get acquainted with each other.

Hwa Sang dreams of starting a new life with Heung Man. She wishes to open up a business and decides to ask Poong Sang for money. Meanwhile, Jin Sang is looking for a way to make money as the first step of his plan of getting revenge on the man who ruined his life.

Jeong Sang is happy to be back at the hospital, but she soon learns about what Ji Ham had to do to make that happen. Poong Sang becomes aware that Hwa Sang went to live with Heung Man and becomes furious. On top of everything that's going wrong, Boon Sil becomes even more frustrated because of his neglected father.

Poong Sang realizes that he hasn't been a good parent to Joong Yi and promises Boon Sil that he will do better. Young Pil and Wae Sang get into a relationship, but someone comes to Wae Sang saying that she's pregnant with his baby. Meanwhile, Yeol Han comes to Poong Sang and tells him that he wants to marry Jeong Sang.

Poong Sang takes Boon Sil and Joong Yi out to eat and promises his daughter that things will change from now on. Jin Sang runs into the guy who ruined his life and demands an apology from him. Meanwhile, Hwa Sang breaks a fish tank of a local restaurant while running away from Poong Sang.

Jeong Sang goes to see Yeol Han’s mother for her approval, but she splashes dirty water over her instead. Still, the couple insists on getting married and Poong Sang wants them to have a proper wedding even if it’s simple. Meanwhile, Jin Sang is desperate to become something better than a slipper.

It’s the day of Jeong Sang’s wedding. The guests start whispering after seeing the empty seats of her family chairs. Poong Sang didn’t realize it was the death anniversary of his mother-in-law, and it makes Boon Sil even more upset.

Poong Sang is hesitant to ask his siblings for a transplant. Wae Sang borrows money from Hwa Sang since he doesn't have any money to give to Sim Ran. Meanwhile, Yang Sim comes back home while Poong Sang is out. When Poong Sang sees her, he becomes furious.

Yang Sim tells Wae Sang lies about what happened to the money that could've been used for his rehabilitation. Ae Sim comes looking for Jin Sang again, and Jin Sang tells her to get a grip. Poong Sang decides to tell his siblings about his condition and gathers them together for a meal.

The siblings get into a fight during the meal. Jeong Sang suggests that they should send Jin Sang to a mental hospital. Hwa Sang gets angry and talks about her trauma. Sim Ran comes to the house to stay with Wae Sang. Meanwhile, Yang Sim calls Jin Sang to make a scheme.

Poong Sang finds out that Jin Sang got hurt doing an insurance fraud. He tells the siblings that he doesn’t want to live a life for them anymore. He goes to a luxurious hotel to spend time for himself. The siblings meet Boon Sil and tell her to comeback home. However, she gets more disappointed by their selfish attitude.

Poong Sang goes to Boon Sil with divorce papers. He tells her to take care of Joong Yi. Poong Sang and his siblings go on a picnic. He tells them about the divorce and says he will try his best to keep the family together. Meanwhile, Yang Sim goes to Jeong Sang and Hwa Sang for money again.

Wae Sang goes to the hospital with Sim Ran and runs into Young Pil. Poong Sang’s condition gets worse, but he still can’t tell his siblings about it. Jin Sang gathers the siblings and treats them to dinner. He gives out presents to each of them, and they all go to karaoke. However, they get into a fight again.

The family gets evicted from home and moves to a rooftop house. Jin Sang goes to Mi Ryun to harm him but fails. Mi Ryun reports Jin Sang for attempted murder. Poong Sang begs him to give Jin Sang a second chance. Meanwhile, Jeong Sang tells Poong Sang that she will leave the family.

Joong Yi gets in trouble in school. Boon Sil tells her to accept reality and be strong no matter what happens. Poong Sang and Boon Sil go to court and have last meal together. Meanwhile, Jeong Sang pays a surprise visit to Yeol Han’s office and finds out about Poong Sang’s condition.

Jeong Sang gets examined for the transplant. She feels sorry for Poong Sang having done his best to send her to medical school. Yang Sim calls Wae Sang for money and gambles again. Poong Sang gets beat up by his siblings’ creditors. Meanwhile, Chil Bok finds out Hwa Sang is seeing an old man.

Poong Sang brings Hwa Sang home and tells her to get a hold of herself. Sim Ran goes to Young Pil and tells her to stay away from Wae Sang. Poong Sang tries to arrange a match between Hwa Sang and Chil Bok. Meanwhile, Jin Sang goes to see Mi Ryun again.

Poong Sang stops Jin Sang from attacking Mi Ryun. Bo Goo suggests Boon Sil to meet a new man and marry again. Jeong Sang calls Poong Sang and tells him to live his life and be healthy. Meanwhile, the siblings find out that Yang Sim has been beaten up by her lover.

Wae Sang goes to Cho Nam for money, and Cho Nam gives him a job. Wae Sang gives all the money he earned to Yang Sim. Creditors come to Boon Sil for money. Jin Sang gambles again with the money Poong Sang saved for Wae Sang and Sim Ran.

Poong Sang goes to the hospital to see Jin Sang. Young Pil’s mother passes away, and Young Pil and Wae Sang decide to get married. However, Poong Sang opposes and tells them to break up. Wae Sang finds out about the secret of his birth. Meanwhile, Jeong Sang and Hwa Sang go on a trip together for the first time.

Hwa Sang finds out about Poong Sang’s condition. She thinks that Poong Sang and Jeong Sang tricked her for the liver. Poong Sang has a seizure at the police station, and the police call Boon Sil. Boon Sil finds out about Poong Sang’s condition and brings Jin Sang back from the hospital.

Jeong Sang and Boon Sil ask Hwa Sang and Jin Sang to donate their livers to Poong Sang. However, no matter how hard they try to persuade, it doesn't work. Hwa Sang says she feels upset by the fact that she was told Poong Sang's liver cancer by Jeong Sang, not Poong Sang himself. And Jin Sang tells about the hardship he had to go through because of Poong Sang.

Hwa Sang goes to Yang Sim and asks her to let her stay with her. However, she turns her down and even blames her and the siblings. Young Pil finds out that Wae Sang is Jeong Sang’s brother. Meanwhile, Dal Ja tells Yang Sim about Poong Sang’s liver cancer.

Poong Sang and Boon Sil get a call from the hospital, but the donation is canceled. Bo Goo comes to Poong Sang’s place to take Boon Sil back home. However, she tells him that she will stay with Poong Sang. Chil Bok tells Jin Sang that he should repay Poong Sang by giving him his liver. Meanwhile, Boon Sil asks Jeong Sang to test her liver for the transplant.

Poong Sang misses Joong Yi, and Boon Sil calls Joong Yi to meet up together. However, Boon Sil and Joong Yi get into a fight, and Joong Yi goes home. Jin Sang’s test result says that he can’t give the liver because of visceral fat and steatosis. Poong Sang and Boon Sil celebrate their wedding anniversary in advance.

Yang Sim says that she will give her liver to Poong Sang, but he doesn’t want to receive it from her. Jeong Sang and Boon Sil take Yang Sim to the hospital for the test. Jin Sang goes to a fasting center to lose weight. Meanwhile, Wae Sang gets the letter from Poong Sang.

Yang Sim asks Boon Sil for money before the surgery. Boon Sil calls her friends and asks Dal Ja and Bo Goo for money. Poong Sang meets Hwa Sang who was staying at the dry sauna. Yang Sim apologizes to Poong Sang to get him to accept her liver. Poong Sang and Yang Sim go into the operation room. Meanwhile, Wae Sang’s condition gets critical.

Jeong Sang and Jin Sang catch Yang Sim who was on the run. Yang Sim is defrauded by her boyfriend and refuses to go back to the hospital. Poong Sang tries to drown himself to death, but Jin Sang saves him. Meanwhile, Hwa Sang starts a new life with Heung Man.

Wae Sang is still unconscious, and Jeong Sang feels sorry for him. Bo Goo goes to see Poong Sang and tells him to overcome his illness. Joong Yi overhears a phone call and finds out about Poong Sang’s liver cancer. Meanwhile, Jeong Sang calls Boon Sil to discuss Poong Sang’s transplant.

Jin Sang feels sorry for Boon Sil because she has to give her liver to Poong Sang. Hwa Sang comes back home and tells Jeong Sang that she will donate the liver with her. Hwa Sang finds out about Wae Sang’s condition. Meanwhile, Bo Goo finds out that Boon Sil had taken his house deed.

Poong Sang goes to the hospital, and Chil Bok gives Dal Ja a present. Jeong Sang tells Hwa Sang about Yang Sim running away before the surgery. Hwa Sang learns that Jeong Sang cared and felt sorry for her. Poong Sang finally gets the surgery.

Poong Sang finds out that Wae Sang is at the hospital. Poong Sang gets a letter and a bankbook that Wae Sang left before the accident. Jeong Sang and Hwa Sang focus on rehabilitating, and Chil Bok prepares a gift for Hwa Sang. Meanwhile, Poong Sang tries to get in touch with Jin Sang.

Poong Sang looks for Jin Sang, and Chil Bok tells him where to find him. Poong Sang and Jin Sang reconcile, and Jin Sang comes back home. Sim Ran gives Han Bang to the family and leaves. Wae Sang and Young Pil reunite. Poong Sang and Boon Sil talk about their beautiful secret.
