Locke & Key: Season 1

1x07 Dissection

The best one so far. There was a lot of tension.

Kinsey should have used the puppeteering key to Sam.

An incredibly stupid series of events. Instead of using the key that would solve the problem in 2 seconds (the mind control one), they just repeatedly give the guy 50 different opportunities to hold each other hostage.

One of the stupidest episode...wow. This is beyond terrible.

Police closes door before taking a single picture...

I somehow knew that this would happen how stupid it might be.

The first 30 seconds set the tone for the episode. Stupidity abound!

There was a actual smart moment for Tyler, so kudos. But the fact that he was cheating on his girlfriend at the time kinda balances that out for the worse.

The mother, who is decently astute, is a complete idiot in this episode. Apparently the magic is keeping her from understanding what keys are and that they have various shapes... like the ones that were sitting on the kitchen table in plain site... what are those? Mysterious objects...

And WHY THE FUCK doesn't Tyler shoot Dodge as soon as he sees her?

I’m so fed up of these characters making stupid decisions. It’s infuriating. It’s a shame the writers appear to be so lazy, because the concept of the show is really cool.

this episode made me facepalm so hard. The story was unconvincing, too much time wasted on useless drama, too many logic flaws, didn't even feel sorry for the guy in the end. And way to go, dumbass kids used every chance to lose every single key they had. They could have just hidden them but noooooo, had to flash them around the bad guys

My goodness. The acting is bad but the way the episode develops is even worse.

  1. The HUGE amount of time Bode (and Kindsey watching him without hurrying him up) takes, when THEIR MOTHER is being attacked and about to be shot, to passes through the ghost door is grotesque.
  2. HOW couldn't they use the "music" key to manipulate Sam?

  3. And the acting, well, it is awful. Specially, from Mrs. Locke and Kindsey. I mean, I know this is a Netflix's serie and the scenes may be so intense but it truly disgusted me

Okay and since when is having a file on you and your mental illness is a sign that the person having the file does not care about you? They're not watching over you or give a shit about you or anything? Really? Ugh.

Ohhhhh and look, we're doing the thing where we leave the weapon behind. For the perpetrator to grab again. After we looked at it for several seconds and made the conscious decision to leave it behind. Damn girl.

Fade to hysterical mother. Fade to crazy woman.

Wait, do I see some sort of trend here to depict all female characters as either stupid, hysterical, irresponsible, raging, murderous, evil.... or otherwise...? Huh. Well would you look at this, how novel.

And did that policeman seriously take the key? This town's police-force is one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen depicted on screen.

The little boy’s acting seems to be getting worse. He was totally unbelievable during the kidnapping scene at the table. I mean, Sam - the guy who killed his father(!) - pointed a gun at him I didn’t see any fear in his face expressions. Bad job, kid, I’m sorry.

Ah man they went and made me feel sorry for Sam. The ending was heartbreaking. The mean things Dodge said to Sam and him going through the ghost door, leaving his body, forever stuck at keyhouse, looking over the family; a love he never had.
I'm very curious what Dodge will do next now that she holds the keys but seriouslyyyyy how stupid are those kids for not using the keys in this very dire situation? Then again, they are kids...

Stupid decision after stupid decision after stupid decision. How can these people even live their daily lives being so inept.
