I may or may not have docked this episode's score on account of a certain not-very-believable moment involving Charlie.
It's stupid to lie about your name.
Something they never address is how the hell Ethan managed to subdue two adults, drag both of them through the jungle while staying ahead of pursuers, and also hang Charlie from a tree like that. All on his lonesome. Makes no sense whatsoever.
[Tiny bit of future spoilers] I know they say "oooh the Others have lived on the Island for so long, they know the jungle in and out!" later on, but that's not an answer.
That was one fine of an episode, I really enjoyed it a lot.

Re-watching Lost for the first time since it aired. It's just as intense and fantastic.
I was worried something would be lacking without the air of mystery and furious theory swapping on forums but I'm watching with someone who has never seen it before and that seems to help.
This episode and the one's that led to it are just Lost through and through. Fascinating dynamics, great characterisation and spot on acting.
