Good finale, good season. It was to short. I'd like to see 13 rather than 10 next year. Way more powers. I even liked the whole baby plotline. There was a nice balance between clearing the current storyline and leaving something hanging off the cliff.
There's a lot to like about Lucifer, but one of my favourite things is Ella's never ending supply of cute t-shirts.
great season! netflix really brought this show to its full potential, and the shorter season made it better with less filler episodes and more focus on a good season arc.
also that musical sequence at the beginning? amazing
"Surely you've heard breast is best."
This really justified last season. I wish it was longer but it was good nonetheless.
Better plot lines and better acting over all...
I too hope there's more seasons.
If you think I'm crying, you are absolutely correct.
Chloe and Lucifer love each other! I mean we've known that for a long time, but they just * clenches fist * love each other so much. I don't know how to deal with this. And it is Chloe who's his first love after all! Goodbye! I'm too fragile for this!
Great season finale overall. Exciting and fast-paced from the beginning to the end, every major storyline got resolved. Lucifer returning to Hell is a nice example of kinda-sorta-but-not-totally-a-cliffhanger ending. If we get a season 5 (and I really don't see Netflix cancelling the show now after going to all the trouble of picking it up in the first place, but we've been disappointed before), I assume there'll be a bit of a time jump. I can already see it now, Chloe reeling from losing Lucifer but trying to move on (enter a new painfully bland love interest), Lucifer returning from Hell and another season of those two not getting together for some reason (probably because of said bland love interest). At least it's only gonna be 10 episodes, so it'll be easier to deal with than if it was 22. And, obviously, as frustrating as it's becoming to see Deckerstar getting torn apart over and over again (can they just elope in Vegas already?), I'm definitely hoping for many more seasons. Especially since this show has hugely benefited from moving to Netflix. Fingers crossed for a renewal announcement soon!
That's all Lucifer had to do to stop them? He could have done that from the beginning!
This show's version of Hell has always been beautiful in a gloomy way.
It seems like this finale was written to act as a potential series finale. However, I didn't get any closure for it, so here's hoping for a fifth season. Overall, this season was miles better than the last. It did feel a little too short, though, and I didn't like the sudden time skip in the middle of it. I still feel like this show is missing something. It may be because of the boring cases that just feel like filler or how it always wraps up Lucifer's issues in one episode (hate yourself? All you gotta do is forgive yourself. Problem solved!) or maybe it's the lack of threat/urgency (those demons didn't even seem intimidating). I don't know. I just feel like there's something constantly holding the show back and keeping it from reaching its full potential.
In any case, the show is improved and safer on Netflix than it was on Fox. I hope there is another season so we can learn about Charlie, give Maze someone/thing to be passionate about, get rid of Detective Douche, maybe meet some more angels or at least hear from Rae again, and finally end this unresolved tension between Lucifer and Chloe...

I’ll be forever thankful for Netflix picking up this show. It was too good for FOX anyway.
Fantastic end of a fantastic season! The season was a huge improvement from season 3 and I might be my favourite along with season 2.
So happy that I managed to catch up just before season 5!
Two of the best things that ever happened on this show, happened right here, in this season finale:
This season started scraping at the bottom (i.e., exactly how season 3 left us), but ended up proudly returning to its former glory. This finale also works both ways, as a series finale or as a segue to another season. I'm cool with both outcomes, as this was a satisfying ending. Good season, overall!
I just want Lucifer and Chloe are together
why is so difficult
Season finale that could work as finale series. The 10-episode format suits you well. I liked the season. I hope they renew
When I watched the pilot episode, I thought "what a great idea for a TV show... it's a shame that they blah blah blargh". I've had the same feeling since then: it could be a great show, but it isn't... too many dumb episodes, a few boring season plots, waaaay too much of the metaphoric thing. It felt like a big wasted opportunity.
This season thanks to Netflix, I've been finally vindicated. At last! The show at its true potential, without the boring stuff, no filler episodes, no artificial drama, and no stupid superfluous characters.
The finale was definitely the best episode of all 4 seasons. Not that it was too hard to beat the rest of them..., but still, it was almost flawless. I should give it a 10, if only for the dance scene at the beginning :joy:
And I have to agree with the other comments: it would have been an excellent way to wrap up and end the show. I'm glad that they decided to make a final 5th season... but I'm afraid wathever they do, it will never be as good as this ending. We'll have to wait and see, I guess :person_shrugging:
Thanks Netflix for saving this show. It would have been a total disgrace if we never got to see the story continued. Awesome season!
Amazing Season and amazing finale! Just wow - the last 5 mins of the show were just amazing! This is surely not a Series Finale! What could we expect the next season - more of Charlie growing up as a half human/angel boy, eve and maze, and how Lucy gets back
What a great season, what a superb improvement and continuation in every way. Adding in the supernatural and putting a lot of the procedural cop stuff on the backburner was a good decision. Bit sad it looks like a series-finale but it would be all the more nice to see it return for another season.
Lousy ending to a poor season. I had so much hope now when Cloe finally knew and the dumbass writers just screwed it.
Perfect end, story, acting. Ready for season 5 if it will be! I hope!:raised_hands:

This finale clearly was made to be a series finale, in case anything wrong happens again, but it was so exciting. I liked that the scheme with 10 episodes made the story more clear and objective, but they also explored every character in his own way (except Dan, who I thought was kind of a dead body in this season). Anyway, it was a very good episode for me, that fought for this series on social media, and I hope they continue for at least more one season.
If they don't, I'm pleased by the ride and thankful for the end.
