A rather dull return-to-form sort of episode, it was alright. Lucifer didn't realize it but he debunked his own claim before having even issued it thanks to Amenadiel giving an affirmative answer to his questions on Charlie; we even see Amenadiel's conviction later when he pleads with his father to render him mortal instead of his son so Charlie would be spared the suffering all humans go through. Amenadiel is evidence that the "apples" are capable of love, and so the "tree" must be as well.
I suppose this will be one of the last stops in Lucifer's journey of self-discovery, where he will have to yet again prove to himself that he is not as he thinks he is, with the eventual goalpost being making peace with his father once he makes that realization. Oh well, I'm on board, it should be interesting watching his growth.
Hey up. Lionel has had a shave. Little bit boring for opening episode. I think the family drama could get a bit irritating.
not living upto the hype, let's see how it goes.
Honestly getting a bit tired of this show. Same old crap episode after episode. I'd have thought that since we're nearing the end, they'd maybe amp things up a bit, but nope.
Feels like most episodes of every season are just the same old generic crime plot with a small portion of Lucifer/supernatural drama. The final episode or two of each season/part ramp things up and get good, then it ends on a cliffhanger. Then the show comes back and instead of continuing on the good plot we left off on, it goes back to the same old generic cop show crap.
It's easy watching, and there's some charm to Lucifer's character specifically. But overall, I'm just fed up of the repetitive, generic nature of the show. Most of the charm and intrigue is just gone at this point because it's the same crap over and over again. The show would genuinely be 10 times better if it were just 2 or 3 seasons long, but they cut out most of the cop cases. The cop stuff has never been great, but it feels worse than ever now. It's laughable how bad/simplistic these cases are. I could probably write better cases in the time it takes me to go for my morning poo. Genuinely just feels like they use the cases to extend the runtime, or else we'd literally only have like 6 episodes a season, and honestly, I think that would be better at this point.
Anyway, rant over. Just had to get that out, because I'm really starting to get annoyed with the way this show works.
Love that everyone who has only been out of God's favour for a year or two expect Lucifer to ignore the eons of silence and banishment he's been through and get all buddy-buddy with Dad without any resistance.
Well, they certainly not doing subtle storytelling this time round. All the issues lining up perfectly with the case is very on the nose.
10/10 because they got Lionel Luther to be a good father. Love that guy.
God deadnaming Lucifer, cringe fr
What even is love anyway? That was a pretty stupid ending cause he obviously cares so much about her which is literally the same as loving her
"You saw how they were attacking me?" Michael. Please. We're not even a minute in, and you've already got me physically cringing and wanting to wring your neck.
I find it odd that Uriel wasn't mentioned once in this episode.
"And like him..." Oh, is he going to say he shows his love through actions, not words? "I am incapable of love." Wow. Just wow. Actually, truly, sincerely wow...

All the giggles aside... "Dad.. do you love us?" It broke me. And Tom's voice saying that...
It was nice to see God.
Why wasn't Chloe invited to the family dinner? An interesting detail to forget. I guess that creatively, they want Lucifer not telling her God is on earth, and God didn't want to interfere in their relationship.
Summary: God proves he loves Luci, Luci decides they're all incapable of love. Our comedy is part tragedy.
Good for the return, that comparison between the family of the murdered and the family of Lucifer
Oh God ! I loved this episode
In the beginning it was getting boring but it suddenly changed.
Ps. What on earth is Lionel Luthor doing here?
Wait, I’m confused. He doesn’t?!
A decent episode more of a charter study type Ep but good

A slightly dull episode, I'm sure the rest of the season will pick up.
