Time speaks of the experiences witnessed during the great war of Kurukshetra and the after-effects of the war. However, there was another being who witnessed the entire Mahabharat without being a part of it. This Katha is from his point of view. The person is none other than Barbarika, Ghatotkach's son and Bhim's grandson. This episode introduces us to Barbarik and also shows us how he became a part of the great war.

Shakuni convinces Duryodhana to kill unarmed Barbareek.

1x03 Narkaasur's Story

Yudhishtir believes that he made the right decision by allowing Barbarik to fight from their side. However, no one seems happy with this decision. Krishna arrives to help Yudhishtir out of his dilema. Krishna convinces Yudhishtir that his decision is right but at the same time, the Pandav's worry is also not unwarranted. Even Draupadi senses Pandava's worry and goes to Krishna for assisstance. What does Krishna tell her? Will he be able to help her out?

In this episode, Krishna continues with his tale of why Barbarik promised his Guru to be on the defeating team during any war. As the demon king Narkasur has captured 16001 girls from earth, Krishna is wild at him. Krishna goes to war with Narkasur but on reaching the battleground discovers that he has put shock-wires across the ground which explode whenever anyone touches them. What will Krishna do now?

Ghatotkach manages to defeat Maurvi in both, the question round and the the duel round. With her pride broken, Maurvi is finally calmed and requests Ghatotkach to marry her. Their marriage is fixed but Ghatotkach wants his mother Hidimba too, to bless him and be present at Indraprast during the wedding. Will Hidimba break her promoise to Bhim for her son?

A grandson is born to Bhim and there is joy in both the families. Gandhari wants to go and see her great grandson. However, due to the impending dice game, neither the Pandavs or Kauravas can leave Indraprast to travel to the jungle and see Barbarik. Dritarashtra requests Duryodhan to postpone the time of the game by a few weeks. Will Duryodhan agree?

Barbarik has perfected the art of weaponry from his grandmother Hidimba. However, he is still not satisfied and wants to be the bet and unbeatable archer in the world. Hidimba advices him to go to Krishna and make Krishna his mentor. Just as they are having the discussion, Krishna arrives. barbarik requests Krishna to accept him as a student. Will Krishna agree?

1x08 Barbarik vs Bhim

Barbarik successfully completes the task set before him by his mentor. The water Godess is impressed by his dedication and devotion and hence gifts him three arrows with special powers. Barbarik is ecstatic and thanks his guru for imparting him with such priceless gifts. However, the guru asks him for 'Gurudakshina'. What can it be? To know, watch this exciting episode.

Duryodhan and Karna are discussing the problem that has risen with Barbarik's arrival. Just then Dushashan arrives and tells them that all is not well in the Pandav clan. Instead of rejoicing with Barbarik's arrival, the Pandavs are worried and listless. Duryodhan instructs Dusshashan to find out the cause. On the other hand, Barbarik goes to Bheeshma and requests him to back out of the war.

Krishna, as his Gurudakshina, asks Barbarik for his head. Barbarik doesn't hesitate to chop off his head from his body and present it to Krishna. But he has one request to make: that he be allowed to watch the war of Mahabharat. Krishna promises him his wish. Dusshashan conveys this news to Duryodhan and Karna. They are initially stunned but soon Duryodhan recovers and rejoices. Maurvi is wild when she comes to know and sets out to kill Krishna. Will Krishan have to face the wrath of her anger?

.The great war of Kurukshetra is over. The Kauravas have lost and Pandavas won. Dritarashtra is heart-broken by the news. However, even at such times, his main concern is for his favourite son Duryodhan. Sanjay tells him that Duryodhan is alive but in a very bad condition. It would be better were he dead. Duryodhan wants to see his parents in his last moments. Will will Dritarashtra muster enough courage to visit his son in such a state?

Ashwathamma in his bid to fulfill his promise to Duryodhan, rushes to the Pandav tents in the dead of the night and tries to murder them. However, due to Krishna's foresight, the Pandavas manage to escape to safety. Ashwathamma realises that he has murdered innocent kids instead of Pandavas. What will he do now?

Yudhishtir is feeling guilty after the war. He feels that he killed the Kauravas by unjust methods and so went against his principles. However, Vidur tries to console him. On the other hand, Arjun too is sad that he killed his own brother Karna. Will the Pandavas find a solace from their misery?

Krishna is upset after the war and shares his misgivings with Balram. Balram inturn accuses Krishna of being the main reason behind the war. The two brothers almost have a fight but in a match of wits against Krishna, even his brother has to admit defeat. On the other hand, in Hastinapur, Yudhisthir is upset with Draupadi as he feels she is the cause of the war and destruction. He forbids Draupadi from coming to see him. Draupadi feels insulted and lashes out at him. Will this war spoil the realtions between Draupadi and the Pandavs?

Yudhisthir wants to leave everything and go to the forest and lead the life of a heretic. He turns a deaf ear to everyone's pleas. Finally Krishna has to intervene. Will he listen to his mentor or still follow the path of what he believes to be duties and righteousness?

This episode of the Mahabharat Katha is different from the rest as it tells us the story not of Pandavs or Kauravs but instead of Karna and his love for his wife Padmavati. Enjoy this beautiful tale of love.

This episode continues the story of Karna's life. Karna is upset because no-one believes him to be a true king. He is the son of Sun God is unknown. He prays to his father who advices him to do his best and prove to the world that a king earns the title not by birth in a royal family but by his brave and royal deeds. Padmavati also recounts the true story of her marriage with the great warrior Karna.

The war is over and the story moves on to their sons and their lives. The younger generation of the Pandav and Kaurav clan has forgiven their elders for their deeds and the war and live together peacefully. The cousins are good friends and enjoy each others company.

The king of Bhadravati Youvanash refuses to part with the 'Shyamkarna Ashtra'. Hearing this, a ripple of disappoinment spreads through the Pandavs. However, Meghvarna and Vrishketu decided to get the 'Shyamkarna Ashtra' at any cost. Using treachery, they manage to reach Bhadravati and once there, Meghvarna using his skills manages to defeat Youvanash's army and steal the 'Shyamkarna Ashtra'. Youvanash is livid at them and decides to confront them himself to bring the Ashtra back.

1x20 Anushalya 's betrayal

Anushalv did not have any enimity with the Pandavs. However, when Krishna kidnapped Princess Rukmini from her Swayamvar and killed King Salva, Anushalv was forced to make a promise and avenge his brother's death. He knew that Krishna was closest to the Pandavs. And so to take revenge from Krishna, he kidnaps the eldest Pandu queen, Padmavati.

Krishna and Anushalv come face to face. Both are furious at each other. Krishna tries reasoning with Anushalv and tries explaining to him why he was forced to kill Salva. However, Anushalv is too consumed with rage to hear him out. He and his uncle insult him and call him by names. how will Krishna retaliate to this attach on his character?

Arjun gets nostalgic about his past and is cursing himself for not being able to save his young son Abhimanyu. Also, he feels that his cousin sister Dushala might blame him for making her a widow during the war of Kurukshetra. Arjun and Bhim decide to go to her kingdom. Will she forgive the Pandavs?

Most of the kings have accepted the peace offerings sent by Pandavs. Hearing this good news, even Dritarashtra and Gandhari feel good. Yudhistir informs the blind king that Bhim and Arjun have a present for him. What is the present? Will Dritarashtra and Gandhari like it?

Shakuni's son Viprachit inherited the love for the game of dice from his father. He challenged Mahanaresh to a game. He however loses all his jewels and wealth to Madhranaresh and the only thing left with him now is his kingdom Gandhar. Viprachit wants to gamble away even Gandhar but Madhranaresh being wise, stops him. Will Viprachit listen to him?

Gandhari averted the crisis about to befall the kingdom through Viprachit's love for dice. However, Arjun still unaware of the happenings at Gandhar gets worried about his brother Bhim. He askes his battle chief to advance towards Gandhar and see what has happened there. However, on the way, Arjun meets Bhim and Viparichit and all his doubts are put to rest.

The Pandavs have organised Ashwamedh Yagna and sent out emmissionaries to the nearby kingdoms. The king of Saurashtra is worried by this move of Pandavs and calls an emergency conference of all neighbouring kings. Even the king of Dwarka, Krishna's brother Balram is present. When Arjun and Bhim arrive with the message of peace, balram is rude to them and accuses them of trying to annihilate the smaller Saurashtra kingdoms. How will Arjun and Bhim react to this false accusation?

Today, the story of Godess Ganga's curse, Babruvahan's promise and Chitrangada's mystery is revealed. According to Ved Vyas' advice, Yudhishtir divided the kingdom into 5 parts equally among himself and his brothers. However, the Pandavs are worried that thier neighbouring kingdoms want to go to war with them and ursurp Indraprasth. Krishna advises Arjun to send a letter of peace to them. Will the Pandavs disagree with Krishna this once?

Nobody had any premonitions about Arjun's Naglok yatra except Kunti. Something unknown was bothering her... She tries relaying her fears to Yudhishtir who rubbishes them. He consoles Kunti by telling her that Krishna is with Arjun and nothing can happen to Arjun in Krishna's presence. However, do Kunti's fears have any real ground?

Chandlas is hell bent on making Ulupi his wife. Ulupi however, has given her heart away to Arjun and is not very fond of Chandlas. What plan does Chandlas have in mind that he is so sure on the night of Amavasya, Ulupi will finally be his?

Ulupi is madly in love with Arjun and Arjun reciprocates her love. However, love cannot be hid for long. Seeing Ulupi's changed demeanour and her sudden mood swings, Vishwahini and Chandak begin to suspect something. They decide to find out the reason for the sudden change in her behaviour and so keep a keen eye on her. WIll they find out the truth?

Arjun and Ulupi's love is finally out in the open. In a way, this was a good thing as a reconcilation was the main reason for Arjun coming to the Naglok. By bring their love out in the open, Arjun diverted any doubts the Naglok residents would have regarding his intentions. Even Vasuki, Naglok's ruler was convinced of Arjun's motives. Arjun defeated Chandak and forgave him. However, will Chandak ever forgive Arjun? And will Vishwahini's promise prevent Ulupi and Arjun's union? What will Arjun choose? Duty or Love?

Naglok's ruler Vasuki is more than happy to accept Arjun as his son-in-law. Chandak turns green with envy after his defeat against Arjun and decides to play dirty politics to turn situations in his favour. But his feeble attempt to break Ulupi's marriage fails and as a result Arjun marries his sweetheart Ulupi in royal style. After a few days, Arjun decides to meet the King of Manipur for proposing a friendly treaty and during his journey he has a chance encounter with Chitrangada. Will this meeting pave way for new beginnings in Arjun's life?

After meeting Panduputra Arjun, Chitrangada realizes her true self and accepts the raw truth of Mother Nature. Chitrangada, daughter to the King of Manipur, on her father's wishes is nurtured like a man and thus grows up to be a warrior. However, when she is defeated by Arjun in a fight, Chitrangada starts developing feelings for Arjun. As a matter of sheer coincidence, today Arjun decides to meet the King of Manipur regarding his friendship treaty.

Ulupi gives birth to Iravan. Arjun saves Chitrangada from drowning.

Unable to make a decision regarding Chitrangada's marriage proposal, Arjun turns to Lord Krishna for help. Krishna advises Arjun to go ahead with the proposal keeping in mind the future of their kingdom. Krishna convinces Arjun that under the present circumstances it was essential to maintain a friendly relation with Manipur and thus he must marry Chitrangada. Meanwhile, Chandak is determined to make Ulupi aware of her husband's affair and thus takes her to Manipur to witness Arjun's marriage with princess Chitrangada.

Chandak is determined to ruin Ulupi's relationship with Arjun. Ulupi's son Iravan is soon going to turn one year and Ulupi does not want Arjun to miss this auspicious occasion. Therefore, she sends Chandak as a messenger to invite Arjun for his son's birthday celebration. Will Arjun's newly-wedded wife Chitrangada let go her husband for Ulupi's sake?

An evil minded Chandak takes Ulupi and her mother under confidence to create tension between Arjun and Chitrangada. They decide to get Arjun suspicious about Chitrangada's character. On her wedding night, Chitrangada leaves Arjun for a short while to meet Kamdev for expressing her gratitude on helping her marry Arjun. However, Chandak takes advantage of Chitrangada's innocence and through Ulupi's help convinces Arjun that Chitrangada indeed was having an extra-marital affair.

Arjun is mentally disturbed as he could not believe that his loving wife Chitrangada would ever cheat on him. At the same time, he cannot deny the fact that Ulupi saw Chitrangada meeting someone on their wedding night. Arjun decides to confront Chitrangada and leaves for Manipur, where he is informed that Chitrangada was pregnant. This does not please Arjun and to make matters worse Chandak once again plays a game due to which Arjun decide to sever ties with Chitrangada. Will Ulupi believe Chandak's statements?

A visibly confused Arjun decides to meet Krishna for help. Krishna advises Arjun to forgive Chitrangada and feels that she was merely a victim of situations. On the other hand, Ulupi starts feeling guilty of ruining Chitrangada's life and shares her woes with Chandak. Chitrangada's only aim in life was to defeat Arjun's pride and thus prepares her son Vabruvahan for fighting against Arjun. Will Vabruvahan fulfil her dreams? Will Ulupi believe Chandak's statements?

Nineteen years have passed after the Mahabharata war, when the Pandavas decide to perform the 'Ashvamedha Vagna' for the peace and prosperity of their kingdom. However, when Arjun has to enter the Manipur border, he has to face some sour memories of his past. Arjun is eager to meet Chitrangada, however fears that she would not forgive him for his mistake. Later, when Vabruvahan comes to know that the Pandavas have entered Manipur, he decides to fight them. Will Arjun realize that Vabruvahan is his own son ? Will Ulupi believe Chandak's statements?

Arjun decides to fight Vabruvahan on his own, however his elder brother Bhim convinces him to stay back. The fight between Bhim and Vabruvahan turns violent and thus Bhim is sent back unconscious. Unable to digest the insult, Arjun plan to leave immediately when Karna's son Vrishkethu promises to win over Vabruvahan. Will Vrishketu emerge victorious in his venture?

1x43 Arjun Dies

As fate would have it, Vrishketu does not win over the talented lad Vabruvahan. Vrishketu dies in his attempt to keep up his promise that he had given to his uncle Arjun. The family is shattered after learning about Vrishketu's death and blame Arjun for the loss. Filled with guilt and rage, Arjun finally decides to meet Vabruvahan to avenge for the damaged he caused. The battle goes on for a long period with a brutal ending by Vabruvahan, wherein he kills Arjun. Will Chitrangada now dare to disclose Arjun's identity to her son Vabruvahan?

Vabruvahan prides on his victory over Arjun's death and takes his mother to the battlefield to prove his point. Chitrangada is baffled to see her husband Arjun's dead body and regrets the great loss. Meanwhile, Kunti and the other Pandavas lament over Arjun's death. Unable to bear the sobs of his mother, Vabruvahan decides to commit suicide. However, Krishna arrives at the right moment and gives him a clearer picture on why Arjun was killed, wherein Ganga also admits her share in the crime. The episode now unites Arjun's two wives Ulupi and Chitrangada, which paves way for a new twist in the story.

A visibly upset Ganga realizes her folly and thus advises Vabruvahan to bring in a precious stone called 'Nagamani' from Naglok to save Arjun's life. At Naglok, Vabruvahan has to fight against an evil Chandak who does not want to save Arjun's life. With Krishna's help Vabruvahan successfully saves his father's life and brings in a happy ending to this epic saga. Moreover, Shri Krishna graciously decides to save Karna's son Vrishketu and once again proves his might. 'Mahabharat Katha' concludes with an important message for the world stating that 'Only truth prevailed till the end and as long as Shri Krishna was present there would be law and order'.
