After choosing which team to work with, the millionaires waste no time and get the business going, each in their individual mentor style: Emma immediately takes the chairman role, Ivan decides his new business needs his full attention and Chris leaves his budding entrepreneurs to get on with it. From day one reality hits for the budding entrepreneurs: they earn no money; they work day and night, which puts a strain on their relationships; they're thrown into high-powered business meetings; they find it near impossible to manage their home problems; and on top of all that, they're under relentless pressure from their mentors to get deals and make money. Immediately it's clear the success of these businesses will be determined by the relationships of the people creating them: some are beginning to flourish, while others are beginning to crack.
Three months into the year, the mentors are starting to realise the enormity of the challenge they have taken on and the impact it might have on their reputation. Crucial business decisions are taking place, and for some of the teams, big deals are starting to happen. As the businesses grow and the mentors get to know the strengths and weaknesses of the teams they have picked, pressure increases and there are dramatic consequences as one mentor decides to get rid of a protégé and another faces a shocking revelation from their team.
After last week's drama it is apparent that the businesses will only succeed if the relationships do. Halfway into the year, with one person sacked and one pair of protégés taking their relationship to a new level, the mentors struggle to get their teams focused on business. And the situation deteriorates even further when one of the relationships takes a dramatic nosedive.
Nerves fray as the final deadline looms closer. A winner is selected and contestants reflecton their and the hard work to come to keep their fledgling bussinesses going.
