The series start very well developing the characters but the last episodes really bring the awesome factor to the show. Vicent D'Onofrio playing Fisk is absolutely brilliant, what a performance. Great season. Can't wait for more.
Best superhero TV show ever. Hands down. Bravo to Cox and D'Onofrio! To say I'm excited for season two is an understatement.
Awesome! Powerful finish to season one. Looking forward to the newly announced season two.
Well done Marvel! I can't ask for more.
This show is the best of its genre!
Man this was one fantastic season finale. Starting off the episode at Ben's funeral, everyone is feeling dejected, with Matt blaming himself for not saving these people and putting an end to Fisk's corrupt actions, despite everything Matt has done to try and stop Fisk, and with Karen blaming herself fro dragging Ben into this whole thing, believing it's her fault that he's dead (not gonna lie i kinda agree), though luckily Mrs. Urich reassured Karen that Ben wanted to do this, he wasn't pushed into anything he didn't enjoy, and he died doing what he loves. And Karen's still paranoid that Fisk will find out that she met with his mother, worried about what he'll do to her and the people she loves; Karen's fully bought the notion that there's nothing they could do against a man like Fisk, who controls everything and everyone.
On a brighter note, Matt and Nelson finally made up, agreeing to look towards the future together and deciding to use both law and vigilantism to take down Wilson Fisk. Luckily, thanks to Foggy working with Marci, they learned about Detective Hoffman, a man who knows way too much about Fisk and his dealings, and Nelson and Murdock's ticket to exposing Fisk. Also, regarding Wilson Fisk, looks like he's put two and two together and realized Gao and Owlsley were the ones who poisoned the drinks, and after confronting Owlsley he realized their after Vanessa. Luckily Gao was shrewd as ever and left way before this all went down, but sadly for Owlsley, Fisk was thirsty for blood after the man who almost killed Vanessa, with him killing Owlsley despite Owlsley having Hoffman as an out if he was dead.
I'm so glad Matt/Daredevil found Hoffman before Fisk's cops could kill him off, and now Nelson and Matt got Hoffman to publicly expose everything he knew about Fisk, leading to Fisk and everyone paid off and connected to him being jailed. Not gonna lie though, it was sad seeing Fisk being stripped away from Vanessa, its clear the two loved each-other very much, and she completed him in a way.
Things seemed to be going well for Matt, Karen, and Foggy, with them becoming a team again, and with them finally exposing who Fisk really is, but of course arresting Fisk doesn't erase the effects from everything he's done, and of course Fisk wouldn't go down without a fight, with Fisk paying off his solider men to drop him off where Vanessa's located, so they can fly off into another country.
Luckily, Daredevil was on the scene, and this time with his new armor, and man was the fight between Fisk and Daredevil beautiful. It was simultaneously an ideological battle, with them both wanting to change this city into something new, rid the city of everything corrupt about it, but both of them have opposing ideas of how to approach that goal, two sides of the same coin. And Fisk blames Daredevil for ruining everything Fisk was working towards, with Fisk now giving up on the city and wanting it to die in its own filth and corruption, whereas Matt still views the city as his own, something he wants to change and bring justice to. The fighting was intense, brutal, and bloody, and I'm glad Matt was able to win in the end, and instead of killing Fisk deciding to have Fisk arrested by Sergent Brett (the seemingly only good cop in this show). Though now it seems Brett knows Daredevil is Matt, wonder what that's going to spell for the future.
Man Fisk was one terrifying villain this season, and I loved the dialogue between him and the soldiers in that truck, with Fisk using religious allegory to describe the kind of monstrous person he is, the ill-intent that drove that man to start traveling, it was very fitting considering how much of Matt's character is shaped by his Catholic faith, and belief that there's a devil inside of him.
And man, I just gotta say some of the ending shots were beautiful, for one there's Matt looking down on the city in his Daredevil outfit, overseeing everything about the city almost as if it's his own. And also, the ending shot of Fisk, seeing him stare into a prison wall and start thinking about what's become of him, a callback to him as a child forced to look into the wall and think about what kind of man he wants to be, as his dad started beating his mother, and a painful reminder of the child abuse that's shaped Fisk into the man he is today.
team marci team brett ig
Of course I'm not dissapointed in the heroe's costume in a well-written, deep affecting, always relevant, morally estimulating show, I'm not a kid.
Amazing episode. I wanted Wilson Fisk to die lol. I'd get annoyed everytime that fat bald fraud opened his mouth and do one of his little speeches.
Great finale to a very good season.
The season's final episode hits all the notes and ties all the storylines that were the focus of season 1.
We are introduced to Matt's Daredevil suit and introduction to his alias.
Fisk is finally exposed as the mafioso and corrupt man, instead of the savior.
Final showdown between known criminal Wilson Fisk and the Daredevil.
Fav Scenes:
Intro of the episode at Ben's funeral. Karen feeling responsible for Ben's death, knowing it was due to their case, while Matt is finally pushed over the edge, finally ready to take on Fisk.
Fisk in the armored truck, in a wonderfully acted monologue, revealing himself the true villain through religious allegory, which is fitting the show due to Matt's ties with being Catholic, name the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, and often being compare to a martyr.
Fisk's final shot mirroring his introduction, staring at a white wall, a painful reminder of his childhood abuse, but an abuse that made him into the man he is today.
Also love the final shot of Murdock as Daredevil jumping off the roof with his batons, very comic booky image.
Overall, I'd rate the season a 7.9 or so. This season did a great job at pacing with some lulls or filler episodes, in order to set up storlines or to push the plot forward. Loved how the whole season is an origin story for Daredevil, with alot of background info on what set Murdock (and Fisk) on the roads to who they would become. Loved the religious allegories as central theme along with the question of morality, piting Murdock and Fisk as martyrs and devils, two sides of the same coin. Also, LOVED the opening sequence. Great casting of Murdock and Fisk. But the stand out of the show were the fight sequences, major kudos to the stunt coordinator and stunt men.
Wilson Fisk is one powerful son of a bitch. The thought of people like him existing in the real world is actually terrifying. And finally an armorsuit for Daredevil. He got beaten up and cut enough for one lifetime. Awesome finale for an awesome season.
Pretty disappointed with the first season. Very slow and predictable. Good beginning but it becomes boring.
This is exactly what I imagined a live-action Daredevil would be like in terms of design, theme, story. At this point, my respect for the Daredevil character has shot up. The directing style is up there as well. I liked how as Matt and Karen entered the building, the doors closed and transitions to the door closing for Fisk. Another thing about Fisk is that I always imagined him in a white suit, like in the comics or Spider-Man animated series. Throughout season one he's usually dressed in black, up until this episode, we finally see him in all white, and for a different reason. I also like that little tribute to the comics with the choice of art on the newspaper.
Now onto season two!
Anyone else a bit disappointed by the costume? Just me? Okay.
Great finale to this season. It started off slow but it got better and better each episode.
One of Best Fights Fisk vs. Daredevil

Thank you MARVEL &
Thank you NETFLIX for DAREDEVIL!
this episode was something else and im so glad that Foggy came back to Matt and that they was able to restore their business even though they are still keeping it from Karen. I'm glad that Hoffman was rescued by Matt and then he gave everyone up on Fisk payroll then that new suit Daredevil was pretty awesome to see Matt debut it in his fight with Wilson Fisk
finally the Red suit, loved this ep and how it build up after every corner, and Fisk amazing actor and performance soo far
5-> 4-> 3-> 2-> 1-> 0. Good season finale, for a good season, his reputation is deserved. That suit, that fight. Godfather style that scene with music Nessun dorma
Second season will be launched next spring, over April/May

You can say whatever you like about how the costume looks (personally I'm more concerned with it being mostly red, because as we know the red parts are less sturdy), but at least now it isn't blatantly obvious that Daredevil's eyes are completely covered. How anyone who met him before as just the man in the mask hadn't known immediately that this man is either blind or purposefully blinded by his mask, is beyond me. It's a fucking piece of thick black fabric, not a tinted window, for fuck's sake.
