Fisk and Vanessa were very alike long ago in season one, but this could be a turning point. Either she gains so much power, that Fisk will be slowly reduced to a puppet, and/or he'll kill her eventually. Or they will cooperate as equal partners, which I highly doubt will work well. Not for long, at least. I mean we have these two power hungry people, if Vanessa can't be "in control", she's going to leave Fisk, and Fisk doesn't want that. So he lets her in, but how long he will be able to control her, before she gets too big or he gets too low? Will he be able to sacrifice his power for her to be happy, or he will be angry (and screaming) at some point? I don't expect a long, equally treated cooperation, it's intriguing to think about how this is going to turn out. My guess it's a time bomb, and it got set off right now.
Nadeem... If you had listened to Foggy and Matt you would probably still be alive.
Stupid Vanessa, she's more dangerous than Fisk. He does everything she says.
RIP Agent Nadeem. He deserved better.
The shooting scene with Daredevil and Nadeem was perfect.
Not the law. Not Matt Murdock. Not Daredevil. Vanessa will put down Fisk.
Nadem Dex and maggie are a great audition to this season
Nadeem was a really great character. Would have loved more but was satisfied with what we got.
Did you notice how Fisk felt when Vanessa gave an order? He just felt like Dex, a psychopath
Guh!!!!! Half expected it would happen, half hoped I was wrong.
These guys' methods and plans always turn to shit. Why even bother, seriously.
Very cool scene with Matt leading Nadeem while pretending to be lead. Shoot here, here, and here. Nice.
Weird thing: they are hiding, all of them, from everybody, and yet they have to walk out and talk on the front porch ? Wtf.
Despite the stupid idealism of Foggy's idea, it was actually a very interesting legal plan. Too bad that you just know it won't work, at the very least because there's an episode left. And the way it fails Fisk got to the jury was pretty obvious before it even started.
Interesting point in FIsk letting Vanessa in his Kingpin life. There would be a lot of interesting stuff to exploit here, if there was more than one episode left. Would he still love her if she becomes like him ? Is she really that ruthless too ? Plausible deniability is gone, she could testify against him.
That shooting scene definitely stood out!
That was an intense episode.
damn that endings fucked up
I would've loved to have seen even a snippet of what Vanessa had been up to while in hiding in the past few episodes, rather than it be told through a couple of sentences of dialogue-especially with what now feels like her uprising of sort. I'm sure she understands just how much power she has over Fisk now that he's more "soft" (even more sure she knows he'd do ANYTHING for her), and is inevitably going to exploit that somehow in the finale. That being said, it'd definitely a good choice to have her take over, since it does feel like Fisk's story has to end soon enough-he's already been the antagonist once before.
Also, not gonna lie, but I thought Elektra would be popping up this season with her not really being dead and all, and the fact that Fisk could use her against Matt somehow. You just have that feeling the criminal underground network could setup the Black Sky with him, in some nefarious way. Quid pro quo, whatever. Why else have the one scene with the coffin being dug up? Surely wasn't going to be a full season without it, just to set it up for what could've been a season 4?
Jay Ali did a fantastic job with Agent Nadeem. I'll admit that at first I wasn't really invested in the character: With DD, Foggy and Karen, it feels like we already have established different networks of morals through each of their individual jobs (a vigilante, the law, the press), but the writing has been so good, I'm sad to see him go, even though him being killed was probably the only way to resolve his situation in a way that made sense. His testimony's gonna turn the tide, I'm sure of it.
It would be interesting, albeit unlikely, if Dex and Matt were to team up... But also, I'm definitely keen to see how they absolve the Daredevil moniker, since it's been so badly dragged. I'm guessing it means Dex will probably die and his body is shown in the suit to the city? It would just mean Matt would need a different suit or identity after that, if he wishes to continue on the vigiliante route.
This episode set up the series finale, and I can't wait to see it all unfold from here!
And again poor after last good episode with Karen so sad :(
Preparing the season finale, go for them Matt
Fisk is reunited with Vanessa. Nadeem's family is taken somewhere safe and Nelson and Murdock become Ray's lawyers. Matt, Karen, Foggy and Ray head to the boxing gym which is Matt's new office. Foggy find DA Tower and brings him to the gym to hear Ray's testimony. An agreement is made and Tower arranges a hearing in court. Karen finds her old boss and asks him to arrange a press conference so her story can be made public. Dex gets Fisk his painting back and introduces himself to Vanessa. Ray and Matt make their way to the courthouse where they are attacked by Fisk's men and they fight their way through it. At the courthouse, Ray makes his statement and Matt realizes the jury has been compromised by Fisk. Karen makes her statement in front of the press about the imposter Daredevil. Ray runs from the courthouse and heads home. Later that night, Dex finds Ray and shoots him in the head. Bullseye. Matt, Karen and Foggy learn that Ray is dead and Matt says this is going his way now.
Dear Mr. Fisk.
You can't make them happy.
You will never make them happy...
and when you foolishly try to make them happy THEY TAKE EVERYTHING
So Vanessa just popped up on the penultimate episode? Lol, joke writing.

Death is the only way.
Awesome episode. I thought these last two episodes were both going to be the climax but there's definitely more set-up here, which is fine...but if there's one thing I had to complain about this season, it is that half of it is build up. Having said that, this episode was really great and we did get a literal climax of one character, the likable Rahul Nadeem who sacrificed himself for his family, killed by the barrel of Dex's arguably naive obedience. Jay Ali did really well playing Nadeem, especially in this episode. There's one last ambitious grasp for hope when Nadeem tries to tell Dex that Fisk is manipulating him but Dex doesn't buy any of it, and it seems like he and his growing danger will be a huge part of the finale.
This all happened because of Vanessa, who requested for his death (although Fisk would've asked for the same). When she arrived at the beginning of the episode, I had a strong suspicion she had returned as a spy to get information out of Fisk, and especially later on when she is pushing Fisk to tell her the truth about his violent secrets, but clearly not after that evil decision from her.
The only way to stop Fisk now is to kill him, and Matt knows it.
