In the year 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient sparefaring civilization. In the decades that followed, these mysterious artifacts revealed startling new technologies, enabling travel to the furthest stars. The basis for this incredible technology was a force that controlled the very fabric of space and time.
They called it the greatest discovery in human history.
The civilizations of the galaxy call it...
MASS EFFECT.
The botched hearing at the Citadel leaves Saren in the clear and humanity scrounging for intangible evidence. In a bid to bring the renegade turian to justice, Shepard must find proof of Saren's betrayal. But with only a handful of untrustworthy and dangerous leads, their appeal seems grim.
Saren's guilt proven and humanity's acceptance into the Spectres a reality, Commander Shepard takes the Normandy and her crew into the Attican Traverse in search of the rogue agent to ascertain his intentions with the geth and so-called reapers. Shepard's first stop is Therum in search of archaeologist Liara T'Soni, daughter of the other voice on the recording.
The thorian dead, the colonists of Feros are free to go back to peaceful lifestyle they expected when they signed up for Exogeni. Meanwhile, Shepard sets his sights on the barren icy plains of Noveria, where geth sightings peak interest amid the shady corporations that work there.
With access to Peak 15, Liara is one step closer to confronting her mother over her allegiance to Saren.
Saren plans to breed an army of krogan warriors to fight his cause. This cannot happen. With the aid of the salarian squad, Shepard and the rest of the crew prepare for a fight they may not all come home from.
The crew of the Normandy are now fugitives on the run, hunting down Saren without Council backing in one last desperate bid to prevent Saren from achieving his goals at the fabled prothean world of Ilos.
