This second season was going well (except for Fiji, she was the worst arc ever), but the last 2 episodes and mostly this finale were really bad. I am sad this show took the wrong turn and that it ended up cancelled. Maybe if another channel (or Netflix?) save it we can see better storytelling.
Glad everything wrapped up nicely at least without a cliffhanger. Seems they had planned from the getgo to cancel this.
When the trickster said nobody you had met yet, he had to have something really awful in mind. I'd bet money that it's going to be Bobo and Fiji's unborn child. I wasn't too keen on the hamstrung way the writers got her a new soul, I mean her old soul was crushed so they just steal someone else's and she's herself again? She could have become a totally different person. I'd think souls would be more unique.
The fight between Delilah and Patience should have been more epic. Patience turned into too much of a caricature near the end.
I'm glad they were able to patch an ending together, even if it wasn't very elegant, they tried to conclude the bigger storylines while leaving some threads undone: the warrior from the painting is running around, Olivia is a vampire, Joe killed an innocent, Fiji has to come to peace with when she was soulless, the baby and the trickster.
They're currently shopping this show to other networks, but I'd be surprised if it continued.
Fiji’s dresses! WHAAT?! The last two episodes her dress were absolutely gorgeous. I would love to know where she got those dresses..
I must say this second season took a very strange turn and not necessarily for the better.
I’ve never read the book so I don’t know how close it stayed to the book but what they did to Fiji was quite strange.
I liked her searching for a way to break the curse/love curse/ but the butterfly out of the chest, the trickster, etc. etc. it just all got really strange really quick .
I liked patience and her whole story. That was kind of cool. Her husband the healer. I’m glad he was a true healer before he met patience. Only because it would have seemed too corny for her to give him those powers.
He would have made a great permanent addition to the midnight Texas family. Even patience. She’s a damn good “bad guy”. Had they “released her into the world” &
Season three could have been about all the chaos she is causing, they could have shown some really cool old-school magic type stuff, really good “battle scenes“ trying to take her down, etc.
It would’ve been kind of like the TV show supernatural but had they done it right it would have been pretty epic
I really hope it was not the last season. It kind of makes sense if it was because they really did wrap it up neatly with the bow on top. Neatly. I’m using the word Neatly very loosely BTW LOL
What happened with Chui (?) and his angels husband was absolute bullshit. Sorry but it was.
It was like they were trying to kill off a crap load of characters and picked the most disrespecting ways to get rid of good characters.
I kind of like the idea of a dark bad ass angel. That would’ve been kind of neat to see going to season three
Also, they should have brought the Reverend/fake Reverend/back. Maybe his disappearance was because he knew what was coming with patience and he went to find a way to fight her. So he pops back up in season three with the “save the world“ weapon or people or whatever
I guess I’m getting a little carried away here. LOL but I honestly do you like the show despite how the last few episodes went totally off-the-wall.

And I thought the previous episode was bad... What a mess! Why end with a cliffhanger if the show was going to be cancelled? Someone was clearly in a hurry to get things done and go home. Probably to watch something better on Netflix. Good riddance!
